Audley Harrison Wants To Fight The Klitschko Brothers
Audley Harrison has landed a shot at the European Heavyweight Title, and if he comes through that fight victorious, he say's he wants to fight one, or both of the Klitschko brothers. He said he doesn't want to fight David Haye because Haye isn't all that well known in the USA yet, but the Klitschko's are the guys on everyone's lips, so he want's to fight them.
Has he earnt a shot a the Klitschko's?
No, I don't think he has to be honest, Audley has lost to almost every decent fighter he has ever faced. He doesn't hold any belts at heavyweight, and even if he wins the European heavyweight title, that doesn't mean much. The European heavyweight title is not held in high regard, and is nowhere near the acheivement level or status of all the other major heavyweight belts, including the WBA heavyweight title that David Haye now holds.
Good Publicity for Audley?
I think that's all this is. Audley has seen what David Haye has done in terms of calling out the Klitschko's, getting in the public eye, on the news, youtube etc etc. And he has thought to himself - Why not do that, why do i have to lose. He knows that if that method succeeds, he will land a big money fight, and a big time title if he was to pull off an upset (Not much chance of that). There is also no shame if he loses to the Klitschko's, so it's a win win situation for Audley. Audley is close to 40 years old too, so it's a last chance saloon for him to land a big fight before he retires.
In my opinion, Audley does not deserve a shot at any of the top heavyweight belts, even if he wins the European heavyweight title in style. Until he fights and defeats some of the good heavyweight boxers, he should not get a shot. He simply doesn't deserve it until he takes on better opposition.

Derek Chisora Beats Carl Baker
Derek Chisora Beats Carl Baker
There were some good fights on the card tonight for the all British boxing night held at the Wembley Arena in London, with mostly new up and comers from the UK proving there worth and moving one step closer to bigger and better things. Every boxer that was tipped to win did win! From Frankie Gavin (won on points), to Degale, stopping his opponent in the second round. Mitchell had a great win, knocking his opponent out with a great punch to the temple. Also Nathan Cleverly demolished a decent Italian boxer to claim the vacant European Title.
But out of all the fights, the one i really wanted to see was the fight between Heavyweights Derek Chisora and Carl Baker. There was an incident at the weigh in, which almost ended up in a fight. Derek Chisora Kissed Carl Baker smack on the lips!! Chisora actually cupped Bakers cheeks with his hands and planted a smacking kiss right on the mouth! After this incident i thought the fight would be very interesting! But it wasn't to be.
Don't get me wrong the fight was ok while it lasted, but that wasn't long. Chisora stopped Carl Baker in the second round. Chisora caught Baker with a huge over hand punch that rocked Baker, and after that punch landed he never fully recovered. Baker was in survival mode until the ref stepped in and stopped the fight. If Baker would of came into the fight in better shape he could of survived the second round, but he looked completely nackered after the 1st round. He came to this fight in seriously bad shape, he has never been noted for his stamina, but two rounds...He must of done 1 round on the bag and one round of skipping throughout his whole training camp, he looked that bad! Baker wasn't knocked out, he just wasn't throwing any punches back and could hardly stay on his feet due to the pressure from Chisora, because he knew Carl Baker was hurt, and totally gassed out, so he went in for the kill and got the stoppage.
Chisora stays unbeaten with a record of 12-0.

Floyd Mayweather Vs Shane Mosley
Floyd Mayweather Vs Shane Mosley
Just as we are all getting over the fact that the fight between Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao will not be taking place anytime soon, it may now have been a small blessing in disguise! Manny Pacquaio has moved on from the Floyd drama to face Joshua Clottey, which left Floyd open to offers on who his next opponent would be. Shane Mosley was in training to face Andre Berto, but because of Berto losing 9 family members in the Haiti earthquake he had to pull out of the fight, and rightly so.
So now we have both Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley with no one to fight, EXCEPT EACH OTHER! This fight is said to be confirmed. The two will meet in the ring on May 1st 2010.
What an exciting fight this will be. This is the fight that many people, including myself, have been waiting to see for a long time. Shane Mosely is a real, full sized, very powerful welterweight, who i beleive will be a very tough fight for Floyd, maybe Floyds toughest fight ever.
This is a superb clash of styles and personalitys. Shane's a quiet guy compared to Floyd, and is also a "come forward" fighter. He will chase Floyd around the ring trying to make a fight out of it. I expect Floyd to fight smart, and not get too involved as usual. Shane still has a lot left, and is still a very fast puncher, which will cause Floyd some big problems. This is the fight that, if Floyd Mayweather wins he should get some credit for. Shane's on top of his game right now, he is also a big welterweight who punches very hard and is widely regarded as one of the best modern fighters out there. Right now he has to be in the top ten P4P boxers in the world. Floyd's definitely got his work cut out, and if he wins this fight he will prove a lot of people wrong, people that think Shane Mosley's always had his number.
The only reason i won't say Shane Mosley will win is because he is not in his prime, his last few fights, although impressive wins, didn't show me much in the way of defense. Shane, as he's aged, has become more of a big puncher then a slick, clever boxer, something that i think he will need to beat Floyd. Floyd's also never been beat, and doesn't know how to lose. And the thought of him losing to Shane, who does have 5 losses, will be enough to keep Floyd's adrenaline pumping for the full 12 rounds. Floyd has commented about this on interviews, saying Shane has 5 losses, why would i fight him..But Floyd forgets that Shane Mosley never ducked anyone, he has faced the best boxers in many weight classes time and time again, so those 5 losses really don't mean that much, and should no way indicate that Shane should be the underdog in this fight. Although I do expect Floyd to win a points decision.
Floyd's style is very hard to crack, he will run and dodge, land his punches, score points, and get out of the danger zone, making it a frustrating nights work for the great "Sugar" Shane Mosley. But if Shane can effectively close the distance, which is a hard thing to do against Floyd, he could have Floyd on the canvas, or in serious trouble with the big punching power Shane Mosley possesses.
I would love Shane Mosley to win this fight, but i see a Floyd Mayweather victory coming by way of a points decision. Floyds just too slick and too smart to get involved and trade big punches with mosely. Mosley, at nearly 40 years old, will get tired chasing Floyd around after 8 rounds, and will be pretty easy for Floyd to hit after that. This will be a tough fight for both guys.
