David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko Made Official Next Week

David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko Made Official Next Week

David Haye Vs Nikolay Valuev!!
After so much chopping and changing between which one out of the two brothers will fight David Haye, it seems a decision has been made. The fight will be made official next week, all that needs to be done now is the contract to be signed to confirm that it will be Wladimir Klitschko that takes on David Haye.

This is such an exciting fight, on one side you have Wladimir Klitschko, who wins fights, but is not very exciting and hardly a crowd pleaser. He has even has openly admitted that he fights in safety first mode all the time and does not see anything wrong with that. Being knocked out in his past fights has probably made Wladimir very cautious of getting caught.

Then you have David Haye, some young blood, who promises to bring some much needed excitement and action back to the heavyweight division, and also doesn't mind getting into a war. This is very exciting because David Haye has shown in the past that he doesn't take a big punch too well, and now he is against much heavier handed opponents, this will have people on the edge of their seats.

This is such an exciting fight, both fighters have the power and ability to knock each other out. If David Haye wins this fight he will be right up there, at the top of the heavyweight division, after only 3 fights (including Wladimir) at heavyweight. That will be a great achievement.

If Wladimir loses this fight i think he will want an immediate rematch, if not Vitali will fight Haye and possibly beat him, if he does not beat him, David Haye will have all the major heavyweight belts!

Both Klitschko brothers hate David Haye, they think he's too loud and mouthy, not to mention the decapitated head of Wladimir incident, where Vitali wrestled with Haye, and the time when David Haye confronted Wladimir.

Mike Tyson The Movie | Watch The Trailer

Mike Tyson The Movie Watch The Trailer

This film is due out very soon in cinemas world wide. So what can we expect from this new Tyson movie? Some people are saying that Mike Tyson lies a lot in this movie about the way he was treated, others are saying this film is superb, due to the fact that there is loads of previously unseen footage and pictures of Mike Tyson himself. But mostly the reason behind people queing up to see this film is because Mike Tyson actually comments on, and reveals his own personal views regarding the chapters of his troubled past and present life, good and bad, something that has never been seen before with this kind of honesty and inhibition.
From the streets of Brooklyn to worldwide fame, this man fought his way to the top, becoming a worldwide sports icon, and then he lost it all. Mike Tyson looks at himself in many ways as a failure, but no one can take away from him the raw talent he had, and what he achieved in the boxing ring. Mike Tyson, no matter what turbulence people remember him for, should always be known and remembered as one of the best, and most talented heavyweight boxers in history. This film is well worth going to watch, Mike Tyson reveals himself like never before.

Carl Froch Vs Jermain Taylor

Carl Froch Vs Jermain Taylor

This fight is coming soon, and i must say hats off to Carl Froch, this is the first defense of his WBC title which he won by beating Jean Pascall, and he has not picked any easy opponent to defend the title against.

Jermain Taylor is a world class boxer, who has fought world class fighters like, Bernard Hopkins, Winky Right, Kelly Pavlik, so i think we can safely say this is a big step up in class for Carl Froch. Carl Froch has not fought anyone that was near to world class and in their prime, other then Jean Pascall, and it is questionable whether he was world class or not, personally i think Pascall is no where near the class, or experience level of Jermain Taylor. The only other boxer of any stature that Carl Froch fought was Robin Reid, but he was right at the end of his career.

This is the big test for Carl Froch, winning this fight will certainly catapult him into the big time in the USA, big time big money. But if Carl Froch loses, and depending how he loses, he will be looked at as a hyped up domestic club fighter who won the vacant WBC title and couldn't even defend it once.

But there some advantages for Carl Froch fighting Jermain Taylor, one is that Taylor has already tasted defeat, and has also been knocked out. Second is Taylor has a tendency to keep his hands low, perfect for Carl Frochs uppercuts and over hand punches, keeping the hands low is a dangerous thing to do because Carl does have some power. But on the other hand, Carl Froch could be at a disadvantage because of his terrible guard, he keeps one hand by his side most of the time, which again is a dangerous thing to do against Jermain Taylor. This fight is also taking place in the USA, so home advantage goes to Taylor.

This is an interesting fight, both fighters keep their hands low, both fighters have good power, so this will be an explosive fight, with all the ingredients for a knockout either way. I very much doubt this fight will go the distance.

Carl Froch deserves some respect win or lose against Jermain Taylor, he it taking on a live, world class opponent for his first WBC title defense, which is more then most other boxers have the backbone do for their first defense.

Vitali Klitschko Beats Juan Carlos Gomez In 9

Vitali Klitschko Beats Juan Carlos Gomez In 9 Rounds

In what was quite an exciting fight for a Klitschko fight. Vitali Klitschko was fighting a B class fighter in Juan Carlos Gomez, who was the mandatory challenger for the WBC Heavyweight title, Vitali Klitschko stops him in the 9th round.

Gomez fought to the best of his ability, which was not enough to dethrown Vitali Klitschko. Credit to Gomez, he looked like he could of troubled Vitali on a few occasions, though Vitali did do a good job of blocking most of his punches. If he was just more busier he could of caught Vitali more. Moslty, Vitali Klitschkos spear like jab was just too much for Gomez to get past.

Both fighters looked slow, and at points it was a boring fight in the earlier rounds. Gomez was down several times in the fight, particularly the 7th round, Gomez was doing well, catching Vitali a few times, but was caught with some big punches to the face in the process, crashing rights and lefts and down he went, looking tired and slightly disheartened by this point. Once Gomez was up from the knock down, Vitali sensed the end was near and was trying to get him out of there, throwing some big punches, but as they came together after punches were thrown, they both fell to the floor ( Gomez on the bottom ) in some sort of accidental slip, which must of took even more out of the tank of Gomez, he was hurt anyway, and once both fighters were back on there feet, Gomez was in trouble again, getting caught with big punches, he done well to survive the round.

Round 8 and Vitali Klitschkos high guard, spear jab and power right hand straights are taking their toll on Juan Carlos Gomez. After getting caught with some power punches from Vitali, Gomez stood there stuned and motionless for a few seconds, as if he was out on his feet for a moment, then just came back to life and woke up! Getting caught with more punches, Gomez seemed to turn his back on Vitali Klitschko in order to get away from the punches, not a good sign.

The end of the fight came in the ninth round, after an accidental clash of heads, in which Gomez was the only fighter hurt, Vitali Klitschko was blamed and 1 point was deducted. This clash of heads looked like a total accident, no one should have had a point deducted.

The fight was allowed to continue and straight away Gomez was caught with a flurry of decent power punches and was down, once up he looked like he'd had enough, but he was allowed to contine, he was still game to go on, as this was his one and only chance to win a world title. Gomez tried to get back into the fight, but Vitali was catching him too much, with him also being very tired and not having much left, he got caught again and again with powerful hooks and straights, until he turned his back on his opponent for the second time trying to avoid the punches, but as we all know know, your not allowed to turn your back on your opponent, and with him doing this you could tell he just wanted the fight to end, he had nothing left, he had basically given up. Gomez he gave it his all but was a class apart from Vitali.

After this fight, it has left me thinking that Vitali Klitschko, although a tough guy, and a good boxer who can take some serious punishement, could be there for the taking. I think that against a better fight then Gomez, Vitali could have been in trouble. On a few occasions he seemed quite open to hooks and straights. Now that his mandatory challenger is out of the way, we might see Vitali have to fight a better opponent, someone like David Haye. This could be a very interesting fight. I hope it happens.

Can Amir Khan Now Win A World Title?

Can Amir Khan Now Win A World Title

After watching the fight with Marco Antonio Barrera, and seeing how Khan can box when everything depends on it, he has made me think he could possibly win a world title. Working with Freddy Roach and sparring with top fighters, including Manny Pacquiao has worked wonders for Amir Khan, he does seem much better, and although he will never have good punch resistance, if he can box like he did against Barrera, i think he could win a World Title.

Though i must admit, i do feel that if the cut never happened we could of seen a Barrera victory. Saying that, Amir Khan looked very fast and strong compared to Barrera, i know that Barrera moved up in weight for the fight, but maybe Amir Khan can use his strength and quickness to beat the current world title holders.

He can win a world title if he boxes clever, but you have to give thought to if, or when he does get caught with some good shots. Because in all honesty, although Khan fought a great fight against Barrera, Barrera never really got into the fight, and being 35 years old he wasn't exactly in his peak.

However, after this fight my opinion of Khan has changed, he did show composure, followed the corners instructions perfectly, and boxed clever under pressure. These are the keys to him winning a world title. If Amir Khan can stay fully focused, and most importantly, listen to Freddy Roach's advice and instructions, even when under pressure, he can win a world title. He has the best people around him for success and it seems to be working. Freddy Roach is the miracle man, and Manny Pacquiao is one of the best boxers in the world, if Khan can't win a world title with these two on his side, he never will. Lets hope his chin doesn't let him down.

Tyson Fury Wins His 4th Professional Fight

Tyson Fury Wins His 4th Professional Fight

Another win for Tyson Fury, the fourth of his professional career. Tyson Fury was relentless all the way through the fight against Lee Swaby, putting Lee under a lot of pressure until he refused to come out for the fifth round after taking too much punishment throughout the fight and not wanting to take anymore.

A good win for Tyson Fury, though he does need to face a slightly more experienced opponent now, someone that will test him a little bit. His first 4 fights have been against poor class opponents, who he has many advantages over. Obviously it is very early days yet, am i expecting too much too soon? Probably! but just as it would not be right to throw him in with a Klitschko brother just yet, it would good for him to get tested more.

As mentioned it is early days for Fury so I'm sure his team will start to step him up in class when they feel the time is right, which hopefully should be soon.

Amir Khan Beats Marco Antonio Barrera

Amir Khan Beats Marco Antonio Barrera In 5 Rounds

Amir Khan fought a great fight, no doubt about it. He dominated every round and did not let Marco Antonio Barrera get going. The fight was actually stopped because of a huge clash of heads which happened very early (first round!) in the fight, in which Barrera came off worse, having a huge gash on the top of his head.

After the clash of heads Barrera constantly had blood trickling down into his eyes, which affected his performance in a big way. A very unlucky fight for Marco Antonio Barrera, to get that clash of heads so early. Personally i feel that if there was no clash of heads it would of been a much different fight. Barrera, with his experience of 12 round fights, would of caught Khan at some point in the fight and possibly knocked Khan out. But it never happened, and Amir Khan won the fight.

Amir Khan looked much bigger and stronger then Barrera. Khan looked to be troubling Barrera with his speed of punches and quick footwork. But i do feel Barrera never really got into the fight, wether that was Khans speed and movement or getting cut so early, maybe a mix of both.

The end came in round 5, being stopped by the ring doctor. The cut was just too bad and bleeding too much for the fight to continue.

A good win for Amir Khan, which will now catapult him into the big time. He will now be fighting for a world title soon.

Barrera is a true boxing legend with nothing left to prove, being 35 years old he should retire. He has won 7 world titles and fought some of the best fights ever.

Amir Khan Vs Marco Antonio Barrera

Amir Khan Vs Marco Antonio Barrera Who Wins?

The fight is here, is Amir Khan ready for this huge step up in class after being demolished in one round by Prescott? How much does Marco Antonio Barrera have left? Is it enough? These are the questions that make this match up so exciting. Even the bookmakers can't decide which one should be the favorite to win. This is a great match up and i must say, im undecided myself. Although i do want Barrera to win.

Both these fighters have suffered pretty bad losses in the past, but i think, well, i know, that Barrera's losses were to the much higher class of fighters. Khan got totally exposed in his loss as having terrible defense and punch resistance, which leaves the question, what's going to happen when Khan gets caught with some of Barrera's punches. Because at some point he will.

You can hardly count the knockout win Amir Khan claimed over Fagan as a warm up fight for the great legend Marco Antonio Barrera. Fagan was a part time boxer, full time school teacher, so this is hardly the right warm up fight after a devasting knockout loss, and to now be facing Barrera. But with Barrera now 35 years old, is he too old for the work rate and speed of the younger, fresher fighter? This is the million dollar question. We will find out on saturday.

Personally i really hope he has still got this one last fight inside him, and does the same to Amir Khan that he done to Prince Naz all those years ago. If he fights the same fight, super guard and defense, boxing clever, attacking when the time is right, Amir Khan stands no chance.

But that fight was many years ago, when Barrera was much younger. But does Barrera really need the same ability, youth and skill he had when he beat Naz? I don't think he does, i mean, Prince Naz was way better then Amir Khan, so i beleive Barrera performing at half his ability should beat Khan. But being 35 years old does change things. In boxing terms Barerra is an old man, and Khan is young and in his prime. Can Barrera win? I hope so, and i think he can, but we will have to wait and see.

Marco Antonio Barrera has nothing to prove, he is already one of the best Mexican fighters ever, if he loses people will just say, he was old, way past his prime and probably should of retired. On the other hand, if Amir Khan loses this fight, and loses badly, he is going to have a very long walk back to any sort of world title shot, or fighting any world class fighters. Maybe if Khan loses, all the British boxers that were trying to get their chance at fighting him might just get their wish granted after all. But if he wins, he will be right up there with the best in the division, and should be fighting for a world title in the near future. This fight is everything for Amir Khan, Make or Break.

Losing Weight Safely At The Gym Or At Home

Losing Weight Safely At The Gym Or At Home

Here I cover some of the aspects regarding weight loss and how to lose weight safely. Touching on how your weight affects your performance in terms of boxing and martial arts, and with life in general.

As far as Martial Arts, Boxing, or even just being able to defend yourself goes, it's much better to be in good shape, physically as well as mentally. If you are at a decent weight, not carrying excess fat, you are much more able to do many things more efficiently.

Carrying excess weight will slow you down in more ways then one. Your running will be slower because you are carrying more weight, any activity involving using your body weight to work out, like press-ups (push ups), or pull ups. Your body will have a much harder time doing these exercises if you have put on weight. Being overweight will limit you in an almost uncountable amount of ways, not to mention how you feel mentally from being overweight, your confidence can be shattered to the point where you just give up with life in general.

So whats the best option for not getting overweight?
The best thing is to not let your weight spiral out of control, you should workout regularly each week, whether at the gym or at home. We all go through stages where we get lazy, this is normal, but it's a different story if you have neglected your training workouts so much that you can see and feel that you have put on weight. Do not get to this stage, it's easy to put weight on, much harder to lose it. Force yourself to workout if you have to, it doesn't have to be a gruelling workout every time, just make sure you feel like you've worked out, got a good sweat out of yourself and that's enough.

Lose Weight At The Gym Or At Home?
This choice is yours, but i will say, if you train at the gym, in most cases it will make you workout harder and longer, this is because there are other people there, training themselves. This will sub consciously motivate you into doing more exercise, and also feeling better mentally from being at a gym around people, rather then working out at home alone. If you would prefer to work out at home then that's fine too, you will still lose weight, and you will still feel much better then you would if you did no training at all. Home training can be good if your dedicated and don't always need someone else to push you into working out. I recommend home training should be used to improve your fitness and stamina before taking the extra step and joining a gym.

Running
If you want to lose weight, Running is without doubt one of the best exercises you can do. Running on a tread-mill at the gym is not the same as running outdoors with different terrain and hills to deal with. Yes, you can adjust the settings on a tread-mill, and it's still a very good exercise for losing weight, but it's no comparison to running outside. So make sure you get out there and do some running outdoors, not in the gym on a running machine, it's not the same. However, If your too busy to go running or hit the gym on a regular basis and feel like a tread-mill would suit your lifestyle then maybe this TrekDesk Treadmill Desk will be of interest.

Ideal Weight and Professional, Semi-Professional fighting
It's a different story if you are competing in, or train as a boxer or Martial artist at a fairly high level. You should be in good physical shape. And if your not, you are limiting your potential. Carrying excess weight has no choice but to slow you down, from punching and kicking, to wrestling and flexibility. It will slow you down, not to mention make your tire and gas out more quickly, due to the body having to work harder because of the fact that your overweight.

Take a look at some of the best fighters in the world..How many of them are overweight? And no, Fedor Emelianenko is not overweight, he is just a big, heavier set guy. There are none that are overweight. By doing the amount of training required to be the best you will no way be overweight.

But it must be said that there are people that look fat or overweight, but are actually healthy and have good stamina. This is a certain body type which stems from the persons genes. Some people are just born that way, and a good way to find out if you are one of these types of people is by looking at your parents and grand parents. If your parents are both overweight, and have been like that mostly all their lives, and you are overweight, the chances are that it is in your genes. This does not mean you can't be fit and healthy, with good stamina. It just means you will probably never have a body builders physique, or have highly defined muscles. This does not mean you can't be just as strong as someone that has good muscle definition, because you can.

I'm Not Losing Weight What Can I Do?
The obvious answer is to workout harder, and for longer, so you penetrate your fat reserves. Also eat more healthier foods. Introduce some new training methods into your routine. But even from doing all these things some people will lose weight slower then others, we are all individuals and we all lose weight at different rates. Workout e-books could be what you need in order to give you some extra help which will involve a regular training and eating routine. But be aware, this is the same as the fact that all people lose weight at different rates, some workout guides and diet programs will suit you better then others, so make sure you understand what you want and have a fair idea of what works for you as an individual before committing to any weight loss guide or program.

There are other options available, which should be carefully considered before committing to. These are weight loss pills. When you have tried everything and just can't lose the weight you want to lose, weight loss pills can be a blessing, but with so many products out there you have to be careful of which one you choose. The number one factor that should be at the top of your list is safety, you want to lose weight, but you want to lose weight safely. Some weight loss products can have some very serious health issues, when i say serious, i mean serious, things like liver failure, coronary heart disease, pancreatic disease, just to name a few. So make sure you only take 100% natural products with no chemicals or stimulants. Two products that stand out and have no nasty side effects are Super Hoodia 2000 and ACAI Fat Burn.

I wish you every success with your weight loss and fitness goals.

Tyson Fury - Next British Heavyweight Hope?

There is a new boxer on the British stage, who is talking all the talk, and for the moment, walking the walk. His name is Tyson Fury. Tyson Fury is the son of "Gypsy" John Fury, a tough gypsy fighter and half decent professional boxer in his time. John Fury's reputation was more known as a tough gypsy bare knuckle fighter, amongst the Gypsy's he was a tough man.

So his son has the pedigree, coming from a family of fighters, but is he good enough for the world stage, personally i don't think so. But he does have some good skills for an extremely tall boxer, at 6 feet 9 inches! Tyson Fury does have fast hands for his size, not too decided on his power as yet because in his fights he didn't seem that powerful for a heavy weight, but he is only young at 20 years old, so he has time to grow man's strength yet.

I would like Tyson Fury to do well, because we need as many good British heavyweights on the world scene as possible. It would be nice for him to do well and do Britain proud. One thing that is a concern is his size, being that tall does make him a bit unsteady on his feet, and once he moves up in class he will have to take some big punches at some point or another, will he stay on his feet? We will have to wait and see. Tyson Fury's opponents have been very poor so far, so it's hard to get a good measure of how good he is, until he faces someone that is a better class of opponent.

Personally, I think he could be a decent domestic fighter, but other than that he seems pretty slow on his feet, and even against the low class opposition he has faced so far, he looked quite open to punches. But being only young, he has time to perfect all his flaws and become a more fully developed boxer. I just hope he gets the right training as he did look quite out of shape too, maybe that's just the way his body is, though he did have weight around the waist that looked like it could be worked off.

Tyson Fury - Can he take heavyweight punches?

It's very early day's to say, so far he hasn't be tested in the punch resistance department at all, so only time will tell. Tyson Fury certainly believes in himself and so does his dad, Gypsy John Fury. But I hope it's not over confidence, how many boxers destined for big things, after talking all the talk, have failed? There are quite a few.

I hope Tyson Fury is not one of these, but after watching a video on YouTube of Tyson Fury it left me feeling rather annoyed. He seems to have no respect for genuine legends, like George Foreman, Michael Spinks etc, saying he would beat them easily. There's confidence and there's over confidence, this to me is over confidence mixed with arrogance. Tyson Fury hasn't faced a decent opponent yet, so I think he should just get his head down and prove himself, not bad mouth hall of fame legends.

Manny Pacquiao Is In The UK for The Ricky Hatton Fight Promotion

Manny Pacquiao Is In The UK for The Ricky Hatton Fight Promotion

Manny Pacquiao is now in the UK promoting his fight with Ricky Hatton. I must say, Manny Pacquiao looks extremely relaxed and at ease, it's hard not to warm to him, he's such a friendly, humble fighter.

Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao are very friendly with each other, which is nice, there both professionals and know the game, there's no need for any bad mouthing or fighting now, but they both know, come fight night, there will be some serious fireworks. Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao are both extremely aggresive fighters, rarely taking a backward step, and i seriously doubt either man will change their style for this fight. This fight will be the fight of the year!

I don't think either fighters are taking each other lightly, they both know they each face a hell of a task, this could be one of their toughest fights ever.

I am very confident that Manny Pacquiao will have a much tougher night then he did against Oscar De La Hoya. Oscar did not turn up that night, it was a shell, he hardly threw any punches at all. This will not happen against Ricky Hatton, Hatton is coming to win, he will not lie down, not easily anyway! Alothough Manny Pacquiao does have the edge in this fight in terms of being the favorite, i seriously think Ricky Hatton should not be underestimated, this is a close fight, closer then many people beleive.

Ricky Hatton has the strength and power to trouble Manny Pacquiao. And Manny Pacquiao has the sharpness, accuracy, and speed to trouble Ricky Hatton. All in all, this will be a fight not to be missed!

There was some funny footage recorded of Manny Pacquiao on a train in the UK doing a Scottish Accent! Very Funny, check out the link below.
