The Wladimir - Mormeck fight has been widely frowned upon. Everyone thinks it's a miss-match. Mormeck's reputation has been tarnished massively after losing to David Haye by knockout. People now just see him as the guy Haye knocked out. Truth is, Mormeck knocked Haye down and was in control early in the fight, it was no walk in the park for David Haye. So he should not be completely written off.
Since losing to Haye, Mormeck has won his last 3 fights. Fair enough, they were against mediocre opponents but this would have given him a much needed confidence boost now that he's facing Wladimir Klitschko. The word is, Mormeck has been mimicking the Mike Tyson style in training for this fight and will be coming forward with a bobbing and weaving style, the very style that both Klitschko's can have trouble with if the style is used correctly. Mormeck has been training like this for many months.
No matter what people think of Mormeck, he's going to give it a go. But at 39 years old he's well past his prime. He will be dangerous for a few rounds and maybe he might have a chance of catching Wladimir cold if he pushes the action from the first bell and rushes Wladimir, not giving him a chance to set his feet and control the distance and pace of the fight.
Should be interesting for the first five rounds but after that it's all Wladimir.
