Tyson Fury Vs Cunningham Head 2 Head

Tyson Fury makes his American debut against Steve Cunningham this weekend, 20th April 2013. Many people think it's an easy win for Fury but he has to be careful. With Cunningham being the smaller guy he will no doubt be looking to land overhand punches, and we have seen how vulnerable Tyson Fury can be to those. He has been dropped and shook by overhand punches numerous times in previous fights against lower level opposition.

What makes this fight more interesting is that Tyson Fury will want to put on a good performance with it being his debut in the USA so we could see him taking some big risks trying to get the knockout. Should be an interesting fight.

David Haye Come Back Interview 2013

David Haye is fighting on June 29th 2013 against an opponent yet to be named. Haye and Adam Booth have assured everyone that the opponent will be a highly ranked heavyweight within the top 15 of the world rankings. We all know that David Haye showed himself up against Wladimir Klitschko with all the talk, the toe, and not knocking Wladimir out. But he has slightly redeemed himself by smashing Chisora to bits. No one expected Haye to demolish Chisora the way he did. Chisora went 12 rounds with Vitali Klitschko and Vitali, although he hurt his hand in the fight, could not get rid of Chisora.  Yet David Haye completely knocked him into next week.

David Haye did choose to retire early for a heavyweight at 31 years old. It was a bit of a silly decision that Haye and Adam Booth came to many years ago, that Haye would do all he could in the sport and then retire at 31. But for a heavyweight 31 is very young to retire. David Haye, now 32, is actually in his prime for a heavyweight. While it's true that all people reach a peak at different ages and wear and tear can count for a lot, David Haye hasn't really had many tough fights where he's taken huge punishment. Haye's boxing style is elusive, he's an in and out type of fighter. He gets inside, does some damage and gets back out of range.

David Haye coming back is good for British boxing, actually it's good for boxing world wide. It pumps a bit of much needed energy into the heavyweight scene. And it also makes things that little bit tougher for up and comers like Tyson Fury and David Price. Sorry to say, but If either Fury or Price ends up fighting Haye they have a good chance of being out classed, and worse still for them at least, knocked out. Tyson Fury Vs David Haye would be a fight the fans would want to see. It would also generate some big money.

Houston Alexander Talks A Comeback UFC

MMA Digest caught up with former UFC fighter, Houston Alexander and talked about his return to the UFC. Alexander is 41 years old and says he's in better shape now then he was when he was younger. He wasn't a bad fighter when he was fighting in the UFC, he had great striking skills. His last UFC fight was a loss to Kimbo Slice. Alexander wants to make a come back to the UFC and hopefully end his career on a high note. Should he come back at 41? Who knows.

Fighting in any combat sport can be dangerous at any age. But some fighters do get better as they age. However, they are few and far between. Houston Alexander is a heavyweight and there's some big tough guys in his weight class that have remained busy, fighting the best in the division without lay offs. Houston Alexander certainly has his work cut out.

BJ Penn Talks Rory MacDonald UFC

BJ Penn talks about returning to the Octagon To fight Rory MacDonald. BJ Penn says Rory MacDonald said he seen BJ and he looked all fat and out of shape. Also, BJ said he doesn't like not being considered as one of the best P4P fighters in MMA anymore. This has made him more motivated then ever to get back to the top of the sport.

David Price Stops Matt Skelton

In what turned out to be another early night for David Price, he ends up stopping Matt Skelton in 2 rounds with Skelton not putting up that much resistance. I expected more of Matt Skelton as in previous fights he has been very durable and always comes to fight. However, age has caught up with him. He is now 45 years old and hasn't been the most active of fighters in recent years. And with a prospect like David Price, people were giving him a slim to no chance of causing an upset.

Skelton did connect with a few over hand punches that landed flush in the face of Price but he was able to effectively tie Skelton up and seemed to take the punches well. The end came with a David Price body shot that sent Skelton to the canvas.

An offer of £650,000 was made after the fight to Tyson Fury and his camp to accept a fight against Price. But these two seem to be moving in different directions right now, and it seems like Price and Fury will fight at some point because there is just too much interest in the fight, just not right now.

So David Price remains unbeaten and now the attention moves over to Tyson Fury who takes on Kevin "King Pin" Johnson tomorrow night. This will be an interesting fight with the winner in line for a shot at the WBC Title that is currently held by Vitali Klitschko. There has been a few comments that Kevin Johnson is not in shape for this fight, and even some of Kevin Johnson's own radio comments have implied that he hasn't had much training for this fight. Hopefully Tyson Fury, as I'm sure he will be, is fully aware of this and takes full advantage by using his height and weight to tire Johnson out for the first few rounds and then start applying the pressure when Johnson tires out. Kevin Johnson has a really good defense, he is very hard to hit cleanly. Just look at his fight against Vitali Klitschko, although he didn't go there to win he hardly got hit clean all night.
