Froch May Fight Degale, Groves, or Cleverly
Carl Froch is keeping a close eye on this weekends fight between George Groves and James Degale. Froch has shown an interest in having a home coming tear up after his fight with Glen Johnson, and has said that James Degale, George Groves, and Nathan Cleverly could be on his radar as future opponents. Obviously any of these match ups would be 12 - 18 months down the line.
It seems like Carl Froch knows that these are the fighters around his weight class that pose a future threat to his career and he wants to nip them in the bud sooner rather then later. A smart move, it makes the fans happy, keeps Carl Froch on top by beating them early in their boxing career, and makes perfect financial sense. Any UK domestic fight between Carl Froch and Degale, Groves, or Cleverly would be a sell out. Exciting times ahead for the UK domestic boxing scene. Everything depends on the results of this weekends fights.
