Manny Pacquiao Beats Joshua Clottey On Points
I thought this was a decent fight, although it would of been much better if Clottey had come with winning in mind. Clottey was concerned of Manny Pacquiao's power from the first, right up until the last bell. He knew he was over matched in terms of speed, power, and boxing ability. So Clottey done the best he could with the tools he had. In some ways i respect Clottey for showing how tough he was and going the distance, which is what he set out to do. But in all honesty, I think the fight could of gotten very interesting if Clottey had thrown more punches, because the punches he did throw, most of them landed and were rocking Manny Pacquiao's head back.
All credit must go to Manny Pacquiao. He done very well in this fight. I say that because it is very hard to fight someone that just has survival in mind, and won't stop covering up. Clotteys defense was very good but used too much. Manny Pacquiao was waiting for Clottey to throw punches so that he could land counter punches in between, this being the only chance Manny had to land punches, but Manny had a long wait! Manny Pacquiao done as good a job as anyone could do with trying to penetrate the defense of Joshua Clottey. I bet Clottey now wishes he took a few more chances. Now that it's over he can look back on what was the biggest fight of his boxing career and wonder what if..
A unanimous decision win for Manny Pacquiao.
All we need now is for Floyd Mayweather to beat Shane Mosley (although i do want Mosley to win), and everyone gets the fight they've been hoping to see.. Manny Pacquiao Vs Floyd Mayweather. Or if Shane can pull out the win, and give Floyd his first loss, we will be watching Manny Pacquiao Vs Sugar Shane Mosley. Either way, it's going to be a fight to remember, and a fight we all desperately want to see.
