Hopkins Vs Pascal Ends In A Draw
So the judges scored this fight a draw, but everyone else knew that Bernard Hopkins won this fight. Even though Jean Pascal scored two knockdowns in the fight Bernard Hopkins was the aggressor through out most of the rounds. He pushed the action, landed some excellent punches, and had the younger, fresher fighter looking like he was the one that was 46 years old. Credit to Pascal he landed some very good punches also, but his work rate just wasn't there, he was on the back foot constantly, and seemed to be very tired from round 6 onwards. Hopkins certainly came to fight, he went into this fight to take the title from the champion, and he did do that, in everyones eyes except the judges. Bernard Hopkins schooled Pascal and without doubt done enought to win this fight, but with Pascal being the home town fighter, Hopkins was never going to have an easy night winning on the scorecards.
Jean Pascals face said it all when they announced the fight was a draw, he knew Hopkins had won, and you could see he was disappointed in himself that he didn't perform better. Not the face of a fighter that knows they won, he knew what was up. If this fight would of been anywhere else Hopkins would of won clearly. Bernard Hopkins just showed us why he is still one of the P4P best fighters out there. His boxing skills cannot be questioned. A great statement by Hopkins.

Bernard controlled the fight. The ref ignored the fact that pascal was hitting Bernard behind the head. why were no points taken off pascal............the judges couldnt have pascal win out right cus it would look too obvious so the make it a draw instead so pascals still has the belts
