Mayweather Vs Pacquiao Is Off

Mayweather Vs Pacquiao Is Off - Permanently!

Well, i did say, don't hold your breath.. Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Is totally Off, not going to happen. The new reason is the lawsuit being filed by Manny Pacquiao for false accusations and defamation of character. This lawsuit officially kills the fight ever happening. This lawsuit is not just being filed against Floyd Mayweather Jr and Floyd Mayweather Sr, but also against Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Shaefer. This is for doing public interviews claiming that Manny Pacquiao has, or possibly could have been using performance enhancing drugs at some point in his previous boxing matches.

From the start, this fight has been destined not to happen. So many obstacles and silly niggles have been put in the way, forcing the fight not to happen. It's a shame that the fight to truely decide the best P4P boxer in the world will not be taking place, and i think it does boxing as a whole no favors. This type of drama politics is making boxing look a lot like the fake WWF - WWE Wrestling banter. All the fake arguing and hair pulling! Where have the real boxers gone, the ones that don't let trash talk or silly accusations stand in the way - THEY JUST FIGHT!

So then, both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will fight someone else other then each other. I'm not sure who Floyd will fight, but it has been mentioned that Manny Pacquiao could possibly take on Yuri Foreman. A win over Foreman would see Manny Pacquiao become an 8 weight champion, something never done before in boxing. That would be a superb achievement.

Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Is Back On

Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Is Back On

The Fight Is Now Officially Off - 31 December 2009

The latest word round the camp fire is that the fight is back on. Will this be the last of it, I'm not sure. Who knows what other obstacles Floyd might try and throw in the way of this potential superfight taking place.

Bob Arum has stated that he will let the Nevada Althletic Drug Testing Commission do all the testing, which can be an unlimited amount of testing, but only up until a certain amount of time before the fight takes place. So, blood might still be taken but only up to a certain date. Urine samples will be unlimited.

I think this is probably the best option to just let the Nevada Athletic Commission do all the testing. Manny Pacquiao has never failed a drug test, so all the rumors that Manny is on steroids really have no proof or substance. They are just rumors.

This will be one hell of a fight. And because of Floyd Mayweather being so awkward in the build up, i think Manny Pacquiao will want to teach him a lesson. Floyd will try his hardest to keep his undefeated record intact.

So, for now the fight is back on, but who knows what else might come up. Don't hold your breath.

Manny Pacquiao Refusing Blood Tests Against Floyd Mayweather

Manny Pacquiao Refusing Blood Tests Against Floyd Mayweather

The latest trick from the Floyd Mayweather Jr camp, particularly Floyd Mayweather Sr and Roger Mayweather, is that they now want Manny Pacquiao to give blood in order to do testing for drugs 30 days prior to the fight. Also closer too, as close as two days before the fight. Blood is never taken from a fighter 30 days and closer before a fight, it just doesn't happen, not in professional boxing. Urine samples are taken for testing, but not blood. Taking Blood can have a negative effect on a boxers body, specially if taken so close to the fight.

These demands are totally unreasonable, and in my opinion are just tactics from the Mayweather camp to try anything to get the upper hand, get the edge on Manny Pacquiao. This in itself shows that Floyd Mayweather is very concerned, even scared about fighting Manny Pacquiao. Why else would you want to go to the lengths Floyd is going to, trying anything to unsettle Manny Pacquiao and his training camp.

Why not take the blood and do tests immediately after the fight, wouldn't that be ok to put Floyds mind at ease. It looks to me like Floyd Mayweather does not want this fight. He is trying every tactic possible to make the fight fall through. Urine samples will show most illegal drugs or steroids, so why the blood testing, are they saying that Manny is taking a drug thats not detectable through a urine sample? Because there are some that won't show up in urine, such as HGH (Human Growth Hormone).

Come on Floyd, Man up! You agreed to the fight so don't use these silly tactics, they make you look like what everyone says about you is right..Your scared. I never thought that before, but pulling these moves has made me think it's true.

Let's see what else happens now. And of course, if Manny Pacquiao sticks to his guns, Refusing these Blood Tests, we might not have a fight at all. Some people are saying, why wouldn't Manny Pacquiao want the blood testing, has he got something to hide? Well no, i don't think so. Manny Pacquiao has stated it makes him feel weaker when his blood is taken. He is also very super superstitious and doesn't want to do anything different from what he has done in previous fights. The Nevada State Athletic Commision does not require blood being drawn for testing, just urine. So why should Manny Pacquiao have to give blood to please Floyd. It seems very unfair for Manny Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather just can't beleive that Manny Pacquiao can be so good without something unatural, like drugs or steroids being used.

Vitali Klitschko Beats Kevin Johnson On Points

Vitali Klitschko Beats Kevin Johnson On Points

From the first bell Kevin Johnson fought the most defensive fight i have seen in a long time. He just didn't want to trade punches with Vitali. For someone that talked all the talk about beating Vitali Klitschko and becoming WBC Champion of the world, he fought in survival mode from start to the finish. Kevin Johnson chucked a little tantrum at the end of the last round, not aimed at Vitali, but at Wladimir!. That was the most aggressive he had been all night, too bad it was too late. I think it was just frustation because he knew he had been outclassed in every single round. Kevin Johnson did not go to win the title, he went there to survive, simple as that. All mouth, no substance. Total negativity in the ring. To be totally honest, Kevin Johnson was a disgrace.

This performance by Vitali Klitschko was impressive. I say that because when a fighter fights as negative as Kevin Johnson did, it's extremely hard to look good against them. But Vitali Klitschko did look good. He tried hard to make a fight of it, and he did what he had to do by applying pressure, dominating every round.

Vitali Klitschko is still the WBC Heavyweight Champion Of The World. There is talks of a unification fight with David Haye sometime next year, possibly March 2010.

Kevin Johnson vs Vitali Klitschko

Kevin Johnson vs Vitali Klitschko - 12th December 2009

Vitali Klitschko Beats Kevin Johnson On Points..Read More..

Did you know this fight was taking place? Your one of millions if you didn't. Vitali puts his WBC crown on the line by fighting Kevin "The Kingpin" Johnson. This fight doesn't get the heart rate going. Kevin Johnson is way out of his depth, his level of opposition has been very poor through out his 22 fight career. I should add that he is undefeated so far. Kevin Johnson knocked out a 41 year old Bruce Seldon not so long back, and i didn't think Kevin Johnson looked very good in that fight. He looks like a lazy fighter with not much power for such a big guy.

We all know about Vitali Klitschko, he is the best heavyweight out there at the moment. Vitali Klitschko's movement is superb for a heavyweight, he has very good punching power, and he also has the best, and most hardest style to figure out. I see this fight going only one way..Kevin Johnson will not see the final round. Vitali Klitschko will knock Kevin Johnson out, or he will make Johnson retire on his stool.

We musn't forget that this is the heavyweight division, and one punch can change a fight.. Vitali Klitschko is not far away from being 40 years old, when will his age catch up with him..When will he slow down and get beat by a hungry, up and coming heavyweight..This will happen at some point if he continues to fight on into his 40's. But i don't think Kevin "The Kingpin" Johnson is the guy to de-thrown Vitali Klitschko.

Prediction: Vitali Klitschko will win by KO or Retirement of Kevin Johnson.

Amir Khan Knocks Out Dmitriy Salita

Amir Khan Knocks Out Dmitriy Salita

Well, this will be a quick fight to write about! Amir Khan Knocks Out Dmitriy Salita in the first round of their much awaited fight, 76 Seconds to be exact. Dmitriy Salita looked extremely nervous when both him and Amir Khan were called to the middle of the ring to be given the final instructions by the referee.

It was literally the first few punches that Amir Khan fired off that put Dmitriy Salita down for the first time in the fight. A one-two combination, with the power hand catching him flush in the face. Salita looked very stunned from this knock down,  as if he was on autopilot, the lights were on but nobody was home. As soon as the fight was allowed to continue Amir Khan could see that Dimitriy Salita's head hadn't fully cleared, so Amir put some pressure on him, throwing some nice punches as Salita was covering up, trying to recover from the first knockdown. One of those Khan punches landed, also a few shots landed as Salita was down in a crouching position, trying to get away from the shots, down he went for the second time.

Yet again, as soon as Salita was given the count by the referee and allowed to continue, Khan put him under extreme pressure, this time catching him with one nice hook that put Salita down for the 3rd and final time. Salita's legs were not there, it really showed in the fight that he struggled to make the weight. Every punch he was caught with hurt him. To be honest, i think he was very very nervous from the start, and this played a big role in him being knocked out so early. It looked to me like the event got to him, this coupled with the fact that he was about 3 levels below Khan in the first place, we can see why he lost.

Not taking anything away from Khan, he fought a great fight, looked very calm and confident all the way through this whole event, from the conferences to the weigh-in, and then in the actual fight itself. Once Khan hurt Salita, he never gave him a chance to get himself back together, which was the right thing to do. Great win for Amir Khan, who now wants to go and fight in the USA, or even a possible showdown with Ricky Hatton or Kevin Mitchell. Mitchell also looked superb tonight, taking a unanimous points decision victory over Breidis Prescott.

Im also happy to report that Enzo Maccarinelli knocked out Kirstian Jaksi in the first round, making a small but much needed step back into contention.
