There's been a lot of back and forth videos between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. And its mostly to do with purse splits, rematch clauses and fight dates. The fight still isn't confirmed yet, and the supposed date for the fight is fast approaching. So will it actually happen on April 29th. We'll have to wait and see what happens over the next few weeks. With Fury now apparently being in camp and saying he is about to come off all social media, it surely means this fight is going to be confirmed soon, as I can't see him making all this effort if he has no intention of fighting on April 29th.
However, as much as I like Tyson and do actually want him to win this fight, Fury is a master of mind games, contradictions and erratic behaviour. But he is smart and crafty. So could this all be for show? Does he really want the fight, or is he setting the stage to make it look like he really wanted it, and when it falls through he can say he's really disappointed and its not his fault. Putting the blame on Usyk and his team.
I guess we'll have to wait and see. But in saying that, throughout these talks between the two sides, how do we really know who is telling the truth. I mean, so many people think Fury is the one holding up the fight, and as a result many fans have turned against him, hoping he loses.
But Usyk's promoter, Alexander Krassyuk admitted in an interview with Boxing Social if my memory serves me correctly, that him and his team [I think the lawyers etc] did mention the rematch clause when in recent negotiations, but then Usyk said in a response video that the rematch talk came from Fury's side. Either way, whoever is telling the truth, I just hope the fight can be made and we get the undisputed fight next. Because if it doesn't happen now, with mandatory's being called, it may not happen for a while.
