Mayweather Vs Pacquiao Is Off - Permanently!
Well, i did say, don't hold your breath.. Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Is totally Off, not going to happen. The new reason is the lawsuit being filed by Manny Pacquiao for false accusations and defamation of character. This lawsuit officially kills the fight ever happening. This lawsuit is not just being filed against Floyd Mayweather Jr and Floyd Mayweather Sr, but also against Oscar De La Hoya and Richard Shaefer. This is for doing public interviews claiming that Manny Pacquiao has, or possibly could have been using performance enhancing drugs at some point in his previous boxing matches.
From the start, this fight has been destined not to happen. So many obstacles and silly niggles have been put in the way, forcing the fight not to happen. It's a shame that the fight to truely decide the best P4P boxer in the world will not be taking place, and i think it does boxing as a whole no favors. This type of drama politics is making boxing look a lot like the fake WWF - WWE Wrestling banter. All the fake arguing and hair pulling! Where have the real boxers gone, the ones that don't let trash talk or silly accusations stand in the way - THEY JUST FIGHT!
So then, both Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao will fight someone else other then each other. I'm not sure who Floyd will fight, but it has been mentioned that Manny Pacquiao could possibly take on Yuri Foreman. A win over Foreman would see Manny Pacquiao become an 8 weight champion, something never done before in boxing. That would be a superb achievement.

Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Is Back On
Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao Is Back On
The Fight Is Now Officially Off - 31 December 2009
The latest word round the camp fire is that the fight is back on. Will this be the last of it, I'm not sure. Who knows what other obstacles Floyd might try and throw in the way of this potential superfight taking place.
Bob Arum has stated that he will let the Nevada Althletic Drug Testing Commission do all the testing, which can be an unlimited amount of testing, but only up until a certain amount of time before the fight takes place. So, blood might still be taken but only up to a certain date. Urine samples will be unlimited.
I think this is probably the best option to just let the Nevada Athletic Commission do all the testing. Manny Pacquiao has never failed a drug test, so all the rumors that Manny is on steroids really have no proof or substance. They are just rumors.
This will be one hell of a fight. And because of Floyd Mayweather being so awkward in the build up, i think Manny Pacquiao will want to teach him a lesson. Floyd will try his hardest to keep his undefeated record intact.
So, for now the fight is back on, but who knows what else might come up. Don't hold your breath.

Manny Pacquiao Refusing Blood Tests Against Floyd Mayweather
Manny Pacquiao Refusing Blood Tests Against Floyd Mayweather
The latest trick from the Floyd Mayweather Jr camp, particularly Floyd Mayweather Sr and Roger Mayweather, is that they now want Manny Pacquiao to give blood in order to do testing for drugs 30 days prior to the fight. Also closer too, as close as two days before the fight. Blood is never taken from a fighter 30 days and closer before a fight, it just doesn't happen, not in professional boxing. Urine samples are taken for testing, but not blood. Taking Blood can have a negative effect on a boxers body, specially if taken so close to the fight.
These demands are totally unreasonable, and in my opinion are just tactics from the Mayweather camp to try anything to get the upper hand, get the edge on Manny Pacquiao. This in itself shows that Floyd Mayweather is very concerned, even scared about fighting Manny Pacquiao. Why else would you want to go to the lengths Floyd is going to, trying anything to unsettle Manny Pacquiao and his training camp.
Why not take the blood and do tests immediately after the fight, wouldn't that be ok to put Floyds mind at ease. It looks to me like Floyd Mayweather does not want this fight. He is trying every tactic possible to make the fight fall through. Urine samples will show most illegal drugs or steroids, so why the blood testing, are they saying that Manny is taking a drug thats not detectable through a urine sample? Because there are some that won't show up in urine, such as HGH (Human Growth Hormone).
Come on Floyd, Man up! You agreed to the fight so don't use these silly tactics, they make you look like what everyone says about you is right..Your scared. I never thought that before, but pulling these moves has made me think it's true.
Let's see what else happens now. And of course, if Manny Pacquiao sticks to his guns, Refusing these Blood Tests, we might not have a fight at all. Some people are saying, why wouldn't Manny Pacquiao want the blood testing, has he got something to hide? Well no, i don't think so. Manny Pacquiao has stated it makes him feel weaker when his blood is taken. He is also very super superstitious and doesn't want to do anything different from what he has done in previous fights. The Nevada State Athletic Commision does not require blood being drawn for testing, just urine. So why should Manny Pacquiao have to give blood to please Floyd. It seems very unfair for Manny Pacquiao. Floyd Mayweather just can't beleive that Manny Pacquiao can be so good without something unatural, like drugs or steroids being used.

Vitali Klitschko Beats Kevin Johnson On Points
Vitali Klitschko Beats Kevin Johnson On Points
From the first bell Kevin Johnson fought the most defensive fight i have seen in a long time. He just didn't want to trade punches with Vitali. For someone that talked all the talk about beating Vitali Klitschko and becoming WBC Champion of the world, he fought in survival mode from start to the finish. Kevin Johnson chucked a little tantrum at the end of the last round, not aimed at Vitali, but at Wladimir!. That was the most aggressive he had been all night, too bad it was too late. I think it was just frustation because he knew he had been outclassed in every single round. Kevin Johnson did not go to win the title, he went there to survive, simple as that. All mouth, no substance. Total negativity in the ring. To be totally honest, Kevin Johnson was a disgrace.
This performance by Vitali Klitschko was impressive. I say that because when a fighter fights as negative as Kevin Johnson did, it's extremely hard to look good against them. But Vitali Klitschko did look good. He tried hard to make a fight of it, and he did what he had to do by applying pressure, dominating every round.
Vitali Klitschko is still the WBC Heavyweight Champion Of The World. There is talks of a unification fight with David Haye sometime next year, possibly March 2010.

Kevin Johnson vs Vitali Klitschko
Kevin Johnson vs Vitali Klitschko - 12th December 2009
Vitali Klitschko Beats Kevin Johnson On Points..Read More..
Did you know this fight was taking place? Your one of millions if you didn't. Vitali puts his WBC crown on the line by fighting Kevin "The Kingpin" Johnson. This fight doesn't get the heart rate going. Kevin Johnson is way out of his depth, his level of opposition has been very poor through out his 22 fight career. I should add that he is undefeated so far. Kevin Johnson knocked out a 41 year old Bruce Seldon not so long back, and i didn't think Kevin Johnson looked very good in that fight. He looks like a lazy fighter with not much power for such a big guy.
We all know about Vitali Klitschko, he is the best heavyweight out there at the moment. Vitali Klitschko's movement is superb for a heavyweight, he has very good punching power, and he also has the best, and most hardest style to figure out. I see this fight going only one way..Kevin Johnson will not see the final round. Vitali Klitschko will knock Kevin Johnson out, or he will make Johnson retire on his stool.
We musn't forget that this is the heavyweight division, and one punch can change a fight.. Vitali Klitschko is not far away from being 40 years old, when will his age catch up with him..When will he slow down and get beat by a hungry, up and coming heavyweight..This will happen at some point if he continues to fight on into his 40's. But i don't think Kevin "The Kingpin" Johnson is the guy to de-thrown Vitali Klitschko.
Prediction: Vitali Klitschko will win by KO or Retirement of Kevin Johnson.

Amir Khan Knocks Out Dmitriy Salita
Amir Khan Knocks Out Dmitriy Salita
Well, this will be a quick fight to write about! Amir Khan Knocks Out Dmitriy Salita in the first round of their much awaited fight, 76 Seconds to be exact. Dmitriy Salita looked extremely nervous when both him and Amir Khan were called to the middle of the ring to be given the final instructions by the referee.
It was literally the first few punches that Amir Khan fired off that put Dmitriy Salita down for the first time in the fight. A one-two combination, with the power hand catching him flush in the face. Salita looked very stunned from this knock down, as if he was on autopilot, the lights were on but nobody was home. As soon as the fight was allowed to continue Amir Khan could see that Dimitriy Salita's head hadn't fully cleared, so Amir put some pressure on him, throwing some nice punches as Salita was covering up, trying to recover from the first knockdown. One of those Khan punches landed, also a few shots landed as Salita was down in a crouching position, trying to get away from the shots, down he went for the second time.
Yet again, as soon as Salita was given the count by the referee and allowed to continue, Khan put him under extreme pressure, this time catching him with one nice hook that put Salita down for the 3rd and final time. Salita's legs were not there, it really showed in the fight that he struggled to make the weight. Every punch he was caught with hurt him. To be honest, i think he was very very nervous from the start, and this played a big role in him being knocked out so early. It looked to me like the event got to him, this coupled with the fact that he was about 3 levels below Khan in the first place, we can see why he lost.
Not taking anything away from Khan, he fought a great fight, looked very calm and confident all the way through this whole event, from the conferences to the weigh-in, and then in the actual fight itself. Once Khan hurt Salita, he never gave him a chance to get himself back together, which was the right thing to do. Great win for Amir Khan, who now wants to go and fight in the USA, or even a possible showdown with Ricky Hatton or Kevin Mitchell. Mitchell also looked superb tonight, taking a unanimous points decision victory over Breidis Prescott.
Im also happy to report that Enzo Maccarinelli knocked out Kirstian Jaksi in the first round, making a small but much needed step back into contention.

Amir Khan Vs Dmitriy Salita
Amir Khan Vs Dmitriy Salita
Amir Khan makes the first defense of his WBA title against Dmitriy Salita on Saturday 5th December in Newcastle, UK. Also on the undercard, a very interesting fight between Breidis Prescott Vs Kevin Mitchell. Prescott is, if you don't already know, the guy that knocked out Amir Khan in less then a minute of the first round in their fight 15 months ago. Since then Prescott has lost one fight, but he lost it to one of the most awkward fighters you will ever see in your life. From watching that fight myself, i think it's safe to say that Prescott is not on the slip, and Kevin Mitchell could find himself in deep water on Saturday.
Ok, back to the Khan Vs Salita fight. Who is this Salita. Well, he is from Brooklyn NY, originally from Ukraine. His boxing record is 30-0-1, that's 30 wins, no losses, 1 draw. He is also very nice guy, very respectful and very religious. But as nice as he is, it must be said. He has a blown up boxing record, many of the fighters he has beaten are all unheard of. And even against these no namers he was put down on the canvas a few times. The 1 draw was also against an unheard of fighter. Im not saying he is totally rubbish, because he's not. But he is about 3 levels below Amir Khan's boxing skills, speed and ability.
Amir Khan has come on leaps and bounds since joining forces with Freddy Roach, and i see Amir Khan totally destroying Dmitriy Salita within 8-10 rounds, possibly earlier. Dmitriy Salita is too slow in every department, footwork, punches, defense etc. Dmitriy Salita has been given this title chance, and rightly so, i mean he is 30-0. But this is too big a step up at this moment for Salita, specially with the class of opponents he is used to fighting. If he pulls off a win by managing to expose Khan's much talked about vunerability- his chin, then hats off to him, but the chances are slim.
Prediction: Amir Khan will Knock Dmitriy Salita out.

Amir Khan Vs Dmitriy Salita Weigh In
Dmitriy Salita had to srtip naked to make the weight, when he did, he made the weight bang on - 10 Stone exactly.
Amir Khan made the weight perfectly.
Both fighters looked in great shape and ready to go, although it must be said that people are saying Dmitriy Salita struggled to make the weight, i guess we will find out on Saturday.
This should be a great fight!

Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao
Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao
Will Floyd Mayweather fight Manny Pacquiao? From the amount of worldwide interest in this fight it just has to happen. Thanks mainly to the internet, millions and millions of people, some that weren't even boxing fans before Manny Pacquiao became such a well known, and much admired boxing superstar, want to see this fight.
This fight screams money, lots of it. I would say this fight has a big chance of generating the biggest amount of PPV buys ever seen. It will probably be the biggest money fight of all time. This fight is global, the whole world wants and waits for this fight. No matter who wins, both fighters will be very rich after the fight (as if they weren't already!).
Floyd Mayweather is such a money lover there is no way he will be able to resist the tempation of a showdown with Manny Pacquiao. In an interview i seen recently of Floyd talking about Pacquiao and the possibility of fighting him, Floyd seemed slightly scared in my opinion, like he knows Pacquiao is an elite fighter, and that he will be tested like never before if he agrees to fight Pacquiao.
If Floyd does not fight Pacquiao he will lose a lot of respect from everyone involved in boxing, from the fans to the promoters, and everyone else including the fighters. Many people already consider Floyd to have ducked a considerable amount of fighters already, and with the world watching and wanting this fight like never before, he has to step up to the plate.
If Manny Pacquiao wins, there is no doubt that he is the true pound for pound number one boxer on the planet. He has already acheived so much inside and outside the ring, and Mannys legacy is secured. But there is just this one niggling question people are asking..Can he beat Floyd Mayweather. Once this question has been answered, and if he does beat Floyd, Manny Pacquiao has to be one of the best boxers of all time.
Lets not forget how good Floyd Mayweather is though, this is a big ask of Manny Pacquiao. Floyd's skills are top notch, and to beat him will be tough because if Floyd can't beat Manny by going toe to toe, he will go into his shell, stay on the outside, and win this fight by a decision, boring yes, but getting the win.
I just hope Floyd Mayweathers outrageous purse split expectations don't get in the way of this potential superfight.

**Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao is confirmed.** The fight will take place in the spring of next year. Some well respected boxing experts are saying the first week of May 2010. There is way too much money at stake for the fight not to have happened. I can't wait for this fight!
Manny Pacquiao is the favorite to win this fight. The date is now said to have changed to September 2010

Andre Ward Stops Mikkel Kessler
Andre Ward Stops Mikkel Kessler By TKO Due to Cuts By Head Butts
An impressive win by the NEW WBA Super Middleweight Champion of the world - Andre Ward. Mikkel Kessler didn't have an answer from the first bell, he was totally dominated. Andre Ward was too fast, too athletic, and moved in and out too quickly for Kessler to land any of his counter punches. When Kessler did get through Andre Ward done a good job of holding and spoling any clean shots from landing. Mikkel Kessler seemed very limited, even pretty slow, and kept of trying the same things which didn't work for him. Mikkel Kessler was caught cleanly frequently, and did look hurt in some rounds.
Andre Ward, whether intentional or not, fought quite a dirty fight, holding a lot, and flying in head first on occasions, causing cuts above both eyes of Mikkel Kessler. These cuts were the reason the fight had to be stopped in the 11th round of the contest. The cuts didn't affect the end result though because Kessler lost almost every round anyway, and he was getting totally dominated. Kessler was also looking for a way out, complaining a lot in the later rounds. It really wasn't Kesslers night tonight. Credit to Kessler, he showed heart carrying on, even though he had two cut eyes, one being a nasty deep gash, also being way behind on the scorecards.
Andre Ward fought a great fight, showing great boxing skills, great movement, and good stamina. He was also respectful of Mikkel Kessler, and seemed like a nice guy in the interview after the fight. He wasn't brash or cocky, which is what i like to see in a boxer. He showed some impressive boxing skills and smart ring craft, only making a few mistakes as he got tired. Im sure we will be seeing many more good fights from him in the super six tournament and beyond.
Mikkel Kessler was not happy after the fight, he was moaning about the head butts and tying up. But to be honest, even if there was no head butts or tying up, i don't think the end result would of been different in terms of who the winner was. Mikkel Kessler clearly got schooled by a young fighter who was too elusive to catch cleanly. Im sure Mikkel Kessler will bounce back from this, he fights Carl Froch next and will want to prove he is not washed up. Both Carl Froch and Mikkel Kessler are brawlers, and styles make fights, so i think that will be a very interesting match up.

Mikkel Kessler Vs Andre Ward
Mikkel Kessler Vs Andre Ward
Andre Ward Beats Kessler...Read more..
With all the huge fights that have been taking place recently, this fight has been slightly over shadowed. Never the less, this will be one hell of a fight. Mikkel Kessler is arguably the main man at Super Middleweight, with only one loss onhis record, and that was a loss on points to Super Middleweight King Joe Calzaghe. We can safely say, Mikkel Kessler has fought much better opposition then Andre Ward. But as we all know, or should know by now, styles make fights, and i think Andre Ward has the style to cause Mikkel Kessler a lot of problems.
Many experienced boxing experts and observers beleive that Andre Ward is one the best talents they have seen in a long time. He's got it all, superb boxing skills, fast footed, quick minded, fast hands, and also packs decent punching power. But can he beat Mikkel Kessler? Well, that depends on how he handles such a big event, and what gameplan he brings. If he has too much to prove and trys to go toe to toe with Mikkel Kessler he will get knocked out in spectacular fashion. If he boxes, uses his superb boxing skills and movement he will win this fight on points easily. Mikkel Kessler does not deal with slick boxing skills too good, he likes opponents to stand in close and be still for long periods of time. Andre Ward can do the opposite and capitalise on Kesslers weakness - Boxers with good Movement.
This will be a great fight. Mikkel Kessler's WBA Super middleweight belt is on the line, and Kessler is fighting in Andre Wards backgarden. Oakland, which is Andre Ward's home town.
Prediction: I beleive this is a huge fight for both fighters, but in particular i beleive it's much bigger for Andre Ward. Mikkel Kessler has fought in huge fights already, and i think this will be the deciding factor for Andre Ward. He will be too eager to please and end up with his foot on the gas for the first 5 rounds and be winning the fight. But because of Mikkel Kessler's experience, he will bide his time and wait for Andre Ward to slow down, then Kessler will open up on Ward. Does Andre Ward have the experience and punch resistance to be able to take, or nutralize Mikkel Kesslers huge range of power punches, somehow i just don't think so. A tough fight for both boxers but Mikkel Kessler wins by knockout.

Ricky Hatton Vs Juan Manuel Marquez Fight Rumors
Ricky Hatton Vs Juan Manuel Marquez Fight Rumors
There are rumors going around that Ricky Hatton is making a comeback to the ring..These rumors are from a reliable source, Niall Hickman, the writer of a Ricky Hatton autobiography. This fight between Ricky Hatton and Juan Manuel Marquez is expected to take place in the summer of 2010 in Manchester, UK. This is quite a good match up on paper because both fighters have lost to Floyd Mayweather Jr, and both fighters have also lost to Mr unstoppable - Manny Pacquiao. Although Juan Manuel Marquez did much much better in his fights with the pacman, and i must add that in the second fight Marquez had with Pacquiao i thought Marquez won.
Is this a good move for Ricky Hatton, jumping in with a guy as experienced as Juan Manuel Marquez, after having such a long period out of the ring, and getting knocked out in his last fight. I think it's a big risk. One other concern for Ricky Hatton is the way he looks at the moment, you can see he has not been keeping in shape. He looks very overweight. It's not good to live the way he lives when he's not fighting, ballooning up to heavyweight, then back down to light welterweight.
Ricky Hatton needs to live in the gym from now until the fight to stand any chance at all against Marquez. I do beleive Ricky is damaged goods, the way he got knocked out in his last fight with Manny Pacquiao was brutal, and not good for him mentally. I fear he could get the same type of fight with Marquez, if he's not careful he could get knocked out again. I was watching an interview with Ricky Hatton the other day and he said that he thought he was winning the second round against Manny Pacquiao until the knockout! He must be living in dreamland...I also remember him saying the same thing about his fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. He actually thought he was winning most of the fight! I am a Ricky Hatton fan but let's be real..There is no way he was winning the fight with Floyd, and no way he was winning that second round against Pacquiao.
Credit where it's due, Hatton has had a good boxing career, and his only losses have come to the two best boxers in the sport today. But personally i would like him to stay retired, more for his safety. He is, and always will be a "jump in head first brawler" type of boxer, this style will only get you so far. This is the boxing style for a short boxing career because you take way too many punches to the head.
Ricky Hatton has already took too many punches, and we seen how long his "new boxing style" lasted when under the coaching of Floyd Mayweather Sr. It lasted for one fight, that being the fight with Paulie Mallignaggi. After that he went back to his old self again. But i suppose Ricky is his own man, if he wants to fight again then he's going to fight again. I wish him luck.
No one knows if this fight is certain to take place yet. So no one knows who will train Ricky Hatton if the fight should take place. I would say though it would probably be the same trainers as his brother Matthew, which is Lee Beard and his team.
Ricky Hatton Vs Juan Manuel Marquez should be an OK fight. But it's not a fight to go crazy for.

Manny Pacquiao Stops Miguel Cotto In The 12th Round
Manny Pacquiao Stops Miguel Cotto In The 12th Round
Manny Pacquiao Stops Miguel Cotto In the 12th round after taking a huge amount of punishment through out most of the fight. The first few rounds were pretty even and Cotto did land some good punches in the early rounds, his jab was effective. But Manny Pacquiao proved he can take some good solid punches from a full blown, powerful Welterweight. Miguel Cotto was knocked down twice in the early rounds, but got off the canvas to keep on fighting, showing good courage and fighting spirit.
Manny Pacquiao boxed superb. He was too fast. and too strong. Cotto's strength and power seemed to drain pretty quickly, which was surprising. I thought it would be the other way round. Cotto was on the retreat from about the 7th round onwards. It seemed like he was in survival mode, and just wanted to hear the last bell. But it wasn't to be..From the 8th round onwards Cotto's face was a mess, his eyes were swollen, he had a cut eye and bloodied mouth, the referee was concerned for Cotto. But Cotto kept fighting, throwing punches going backwards in retreat mode. In the 12th round the referee decided to end the fight when Cotto was taking too many unanswered punches, and was also way too behind on the scorecards to win the fight. It would of been nice to see Cotto finish the fight, even though he wouldn't of won on the cards. Cotto's pride was hurt, specially as it was stopped in the 12th round. I thought the referee should of let him finish the fight.
Cotto did not retire, he wanted to keep on fighting. He showed great heart even though he was getting beat up pretty badly. So, who next for Manny Pacquiao? Many people, including Freddy roach, said they want Floyd Mayweather Jr. So many people want to see this fight that it just has to happen, and i cant wait!
Manny Pacquiao is totally unstoppable at the moment. He is one of the best boxers ever. Winning this title has placed him into the record books for being a SEVEN weight World Champion!.
Can Manny Pacquiao beat Floyd Mayweather Jr ?..I'd have to say yes he can.

Lovemore Ndou Vs Matthew Hatton Ends In A Draw
Lovemore Ndou Vs Matthew Hatton Ends In A Draw
This was a very close fight, and as you can see from the result very tough to score. Matthew Hatton started off OK, but after a while most of his work was sloppy, and nothing landed clean, or with much power. When he did land a power shot you just got the feeling that he never had the power to hurt Lovemore Ndou. Matthew Hatton was the busier fighter through out most of the fight, and i thought he did deserve the win.
Lovemore Ndou did land the cleaner and more powerful punches through out the whole fight, some good combinations too. But he just wasn't busy enough. This was the best performance of Matthew Hattons boxing career, which is a good compliment beings that he was taking a huge step up in class fighting Lovemore Ndou.
Lovemore Ndou keeps his title and Matthew Hatton goes back to the drawing board. Lovemore Ndou did offer Matthew Hatton a rematch in either Australia or South Africa, so we will see what happens. I think Matthew Hatton said "if I can't win in the UK on the scorecards, what chance do I stand in Australia or South Africa". I'd have to agree with you Matthew!

Manny Pacquiao Vs Miguel Cotto
Manny Pacquiao Vs Miguel Cotto
After just watching the David Haye Vs Nikolai Valuev fight and being tempted to skip through rounds because there was just no action. I am pleased to say we have a much more action packed fight on our hands between Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto taking place this weekend. Tickets are available from Ticket Network.
I beleive this will be the fight of the year. This is a very exciting fight, and i truely beleive it could be won by either fighter. Now i know what your thinking..Cotto got destroyed by Margarito, so you think thats makes him vunerable. But lets not forget the plaster of paris wraps worn by Margarito. Now many people think that the beating Cotto took at the hands of margarito has made him less of a fighter, but i don't think so. Cotto has convinced himself, it was the plaster of paris wraps that played a huge role in him losing that fight, and he is right to think that. I mean, did you see the state of Cotto's face!?
Cotto doesn't see it as he got beat fair and square, if he did then maybe it would of took a lot out of him as a fighter, but he see's it as Margarito cheated. So you could argue that he never really lost that fight and it should be classed as a no contest. You must also not forget, after that beating, Cotto has something to prove, that is why i think Cotto, with the right gameplan has a good chance of winning this fight.
Miguel Cotto is the naturally bigger guy, he has consistently fought at heavier weight classes and he packs some serious punching power. We all know that Manny Pacquiao has been troubled by much smaller guys, with far less punching power then Miguel Cotto. But this was a long time ago, Manny Pacquiao has been on fire over the last few years, beating everyone he has faced. There is no way i am going to say Manny won't win this fight, he has proven me wrong too many times! Everyone, including me thought Oscar De La Hoya would be too big and too strong, we were all proven wrong. Manny Pacquiao's speed and power were too much. I know you can say De La Hoya was dead at the weight, at the end of his career etc. But Manny beat him up fair and square, no excuses. Then we move on to Ricky Hatton. I had wrote Manny Pacquiao off in that fight, i thought Hatton was too rough and brutal, way too strong for Pacquiao, how wrong i was. Manny Pacquiao cannot be written off against any fighter, he is that good.
Manny Pacquiao Vs Miguel Cotto - Who Wins?
First off all, like i said, this fight could be won by either fighter, it all depends on gameplans, and knowing Freddy Roach, the gameplan will be speed, fast punches in clusters then get out of the way to avoid Cotto's body breaking shots. Pretty similar to the game plan David Haye used against Nikolai Valuev, but in a mini version, and with Manny Pacquiao taking more risks, making it more of a fight.
If Manny Pacquiao can execute that fight plan he wins by points hand down. Cotto is too slow to compete with Manny for speed and he knows it, so hopefully the Cotto camp will be looking for clever, fast counter punching pressure. If Cotto can walk Manny down and land punches he will have Manny in serious trouble.
From what i have seen in interviews with Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto in the build up, it seems like they both want to have a war! This will suit Cotto down to the ground. If Manny stands his ground rather then punching and getting out of range it's all over for Manny Pacquiao. Manny can't compete with Cotto for power, just like Cotto cant beat Manny for speed.
Even Freddy Roach has not put a prediction on this fight..He did on the last two and got them both almost spot on correct. He knows Cotto is a serious threat and if Manny trades with him, or slows down at any point in the fight he could get knocked out.
Make no mistake, this is a very close fight, almost too close to call. Both fighters have great skills and they are closely matched in ability, but at opposite ends of the spectrum. Cotto has serious power, and Manny has lightning speed.
Prediction: I think Manny is too smart to stand toe to toe with Miguel Cotto, he will instead box clever with fast punches, fast footwork in and out, and win this fight by points.
If Manny Pacquiao does win this fight, i think he will go down in the record books as one of the best boxers ever. When you consider the weight he started boxing at, and seeing some of the boxers he has beaten recently, it really is a great achievement.
Manny Pacquiao Vs Miguel Cotto will be a great fight and i cannot wait to see it! This is a serious clash of styles. May the best man win.
The only other fight i would like to see Manny Pacquiao in if he wins this fight would be against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now that is the fight everyone want's to see.

Manny Pacquiao Vs Miguel Cotto Weigh In
Both fighters looked in superb shape, ready to go to war. They had to shut the doors because so many people wanted to attend the weigh in to get a look at the fighters. It looked like Freddy Roach and Joe Santiago were having an argument in the background.
Freddy Roach did not make any predictions in the build up to the fight, but now he has been talking all kinds of crazy predictions. Freddy even said Manny will KO Cotto in the first round! Then Freddy Roach said Manny will not get touched all night, and will knock Cotto out at some point in the fight.. Freddy Roach has been correct too many times, he knows his boxing, so nothing can be ruled out. We will just have to wait and see what happens.
This will be a great fight. Do not miss it!

Fedor Emelianenko Knocks Out Brett Rogers
Fedor Emelianenko Knocks Out Brett Rogers - StrikeForce
After an all action first round Fedor knocks Brett Rogers out with a huge punch to the chin in the second round. In the first round Fedor was caught with a solid jab from Brett Rogers that split Fedors nose instanty. There was a lot of blood coming from Fedors nose. Fedor was able to punch, then throw Rogers to the floor. Fedor also caught Rogers with another huge punch and then the same tactic again, he throws Rogers instantly afterwards, catching him off balance, some ground and pound followed this but nothing clean landed except a few good punches to the face of Fedor, at which point Fedor dodged anymore punishment by going for an armbar. Brett Rogers is so big and strong he was able to reverse a Kimura attempt by Fedor. Brett Rogers looked tired at the end of the first round. Some great throws by Fedor, he uses them very effectively right after throwing punches, he showed great strength being able to throw Brett Rogers around like he did.
The second round started off cagey, both fighters feeling each other out throwing a few punches, but then after a clinch the fight went to the cage fence, both men holding each other looking for a good position. But once seperated, not by the referee (John McCarthy), but from Rogers pushing away to get the fight back into the middle, both Fedor and Rogers were bouncing around ready to fight when all of a sudden Fedor lunged forward, with his head and body nicely tucked to the side and delivered a huge knockout punch (overhand right) to the side of Brett Rogers chin, sending Brett Rogers to the canvas for the first time in his MMA career. Fedor followed up with more punches, Rogers was in no position to continue and the referee jumped in and stopped the fight. The punch that Fedor caught Rogers with was perfect. Brett Rogers just folded. I think many people expected Brett Rogers to be the one delivering that kind of punch to Fedor.
I was a little shocked that Fedor won the fight by a knockout from punches. I fully expected Fedor to submit Rogers. This was even more impressive by Fedor as he actually beat Brett Rogers at his own game - Punching!
There is no shame for Brett Rogers losing to Fedor Emelianenko, he is after all, the best all round MMA fighter in the world. Very impressive performance by Fedor Emelianenko.

David Haye Beats Nikolay Valuev To Claim The WBA Heavyweight Title
David Haye Beats Nikolay Valuev To Claim The WBA Heavyweight Title
David Haye has managed to slay the giant, not by knocking him out, but by getting the decision in Germany! Who would of thought it. David Haye fought a very clever fight, moving around, slipping punches and making Valuev miss all night.
David Haye did not land the knockout punches like he thought he would, although he did land the cleaner, more quality shots through a lot of the rounds. Valuev was just too slow for someone as fast as David Haye. In the 12th round David Haye did wobble Valuev, but the experience of Nikolai Valuev was enough to save him, grabbing David Haye and holding on in order to clear his head.
David Haye actually hurt his hand in the second round, this is why he did not go for the knockout as much as he said he was going to in the build up to the fight. I think Haye hurting his hand was the best piece of luck for David Haye, it made him fight the gameplan he needed to fight to win, moving around the ring, dodging the big punches and holds, and not giving Valuev a chance to plant his feet to punch. Also not getting tied up and tired out with the clinching from the 23 Stone Russian Giant. There was almost no holding all night.
All the rounds were pretty slow, with not many punches landing for either fighter. But in the judges eyes, the only eyes that really count, Haye did enough to snatch the WBA Heavyweight Champion chip of the world from Valuev. David Haye is now in a superb position in the heavyweight division. Haye can now take on the Klitschko brothers without having to accept such a raw deal, he now has a belt of his own. A belt that the Klitschko's would like like to add to their collection. I see a fight between Haye and both Klitschko brothers in the near future, possibly Hayes next fight at heavyweight.
The NEW WBA Heavyweight Champion Of The World - David Haye!!!

Sam Sexton Beats Martin Rogan
Sam Sexton Beats Martin Rogan
In an all action fight, which was OK while it lasted, Sam Sexton gets win number 2 over Martin Rogan. I am very disappointed in Martin Rogan, he let his heart rule his head. Rogan has been very angry at Sam Sexton in the build up to this rematch between the two. He let all the heated talk eat him up by fighting way too aggressively, he basically punched himself out and couldn't come out for the second half of the fight.
I think this showed a lack of experience from Martin Rogan. Sexton wasn't even a real threat in any rounds, choosing to just cover up and take all that Rogan had to dish out, but mostly all the head shots delivered from Rogan were blocked by the gloves of Sexton. However, Rogan did land some good body shots and a few decent head punches, but he put so much into mauling and man handling in the early rounds he totally gassed himself out. At 38 years old, Rogan should probably hang up the gloves now, i can't see him getting any better at his age. Sam Sexton fought a good gameplan and i would go as far as to say he had a pretty easy nights work.
I am convinced that if Martin Rogan would of fought more controlled he would have won this fight. But i guess it just wasn't to be. Rogan tried to get Sexton out of there too early, using too much energy and not enough thinking, and he paid the price for it.

David Haye Vs Nikolay Valuev Weigh In
David Haye Vs Nikolay Valuev Weigh In
The fight is almost here! David Haye Vs Nikolay Valuev has generated world wide interest. If Daivd Haye wins this fight he will be at the top of the heavyweight division instantly. This is a must win for Haye. If Haye does not win he will have a tough road back, he will have to get in line and earn a heavyweigh title shot.
At the Weigh In David Haye looked, as always, in superb shape. He weighed 15 stone 8 pounds on the scales.
David Haye Vs Nikolay Valuev Weigh In
Nikolay Valuev looked quite a lot slimmer then what i have seen him look in the past. He weighed 22 Stone 7 Pounds, which is very light for Nikolay Valuev. David Haye is giving away a huge weight difference to Valuev. This is a career heaviest for David Haye by 1Lb.
The stare down between the two was intense, neither wanted to look away and show any weakness. This should be an excellent fight. With David Haye weighing 15 Stone 8Lbs, i think that confirms that he is looking for the knockout, he is not going to be able to run around the ring all night weighing that much, he is used to fighting much lighter. Valuev has lost some weight, so he is looking for that extra bit of speed in order to be able to catch up with Haye through out the fight.
I was quite surprised to hear boos for Nikolai Valuev, this fight is in Germany so you would of thought there would be much more Valuev fans. But hey, the UK boxing fans are the loudest in the world.

Fedor Emelianenko Vs Brett Rogers
Fedor Emelianenko Vs Brett Rogers
Fedor Knocks Out Brett Rogers.....Read More
This fight takes place on Saturday November 7th. Fedor Emelianenko, in my opinion is the best MMA fighter in the world. He has the best all round skills. Many people, including many experts also consider Fedor to be the best out there. But we must not forget, Fedor Emelianenko is only human. He has been rocked by punches on a few occasions, but credit where credit is due, he has always found a way to win, and that's what makes Fedor so good. He has great power, superb wrestling and submission skills, and also never gives up.
Brett Rogers
Theres one word that springs to mind when i think about Brett Rogers. Powerhouse. This guy is seriously strong and packs some super punching power, and when you consider the size of the gloves worn in MMA fighting you can see why he has so many knockouts under his belt. He has the same sort of body type as Brock Lesnar, the huge chest and torso, he is also a very big guy standing 6 foot 5". Brett Rogers is not very comfortable on the ground, he is more of a stand "toe to toe" and slug it out type of fighter.
Fedor Emelianenko
I have been reading a lot lately about what the press have been saying about Fedor, things like he's slipping, getting old. He was in trouble against Andre Arlovski etc..Personally i think everyone saying this stuff is just trying to find faults with Fedor. Look at the way all the fights ended, mostly all KO's or submissions. Their making a big deal about Fedor getting caught a few times. This is MMA, people do get caught with blows, it's how they fight back after they get caught with shots, that's the main thing.
Fedor Emelianenko vs. Brett Rogers - Who Wins?
I beleive if Fedor fights smart and takes Brett Rogers to the ground, we will see Fedor submit Rogers pretty easily. If however, Fedor decides to stand and trade punches with Rogers, we could see Fedor have a very tough night, and Brett Rogers hits so hard that i wouldn't rule out Fedor getting knocked out. I think Fedor is too smart to stand and trade with Rogers, he knows that's Rogers only chance of winning. Fedor will take this fight to the ground and submit Rogers quite easily. Getting Rogers on the floor might take a bit of hard work though, he is a strong guy with good take down defense. Fedor will have to tire him out a little first.
This is Fedors first fight in the cage, so this could have an effect on Fedor also. But Fedor lives for this, i bet he has been doing many hours of training inside a cage to prepare for this fight.
Prediction: Fedor by submission.
Let me know what you think.

David Haye has arrived in Germany today, with just under a week to go until he faces the biggest test of his boxing career. He looked very tired and said he had been up since very early to catch the flight. Haye also did not finish training until 1am, then having to eat food etc. Haye still was nice enough to fight the sleep deprivation to let the press interview him, and he also signed some autograpths for the fans.
Ok, with that said back to the fight. David Hayes trainer has said Haye will try to knock out Valuev, thats what his aim is. Adam Booth said that Haye always goes for the knockout and this fight will be no different.
Personally i think this is the wrong kind of tactics to use against Nikolay Valuev. He has never been stopped, he has never even been down. I was watching a video on Youtube the other day titled "Valuev Can Take It", and i must say, Valuev was taking some brutal shots to the face (this was earlier in his career when he had less experience and less boxing skills), but he did not go down! Valuev can take some serious punches. I can not see David Haye knocking Valuev out. David Haye has power, but it should not be overated.
With David Haye going for a knock out, Haye could actually punch himself out and get knocked out himself. This is what i beleive will happen. Haye is too trigger happy, he wants to trade punches with the beast, if he does that will be the end for David Haye. He needs to fight with controlled aggression, something Haye does not really do very well. If Haye does not fight the type of fight tactics that the legend Evander Holyfield used, but with more aggression, and being prepared to take a few more risks he will lose. Saying that, i don't think Haye could fight that fight if he wanted to: Haye does not have fast footwork, not when it comes to jumping in and out. When he has fought that way in the past he has tired very quickly, and that was against opponents half the size of Valuev.
Valuev is just too big to stand in front of and trade punches with. David Haye does not have the chin to take Valuevs big tree trunk arms in the face. David Haye does not have the chin, stamina, or ring craft of even an older Evander Holyfield, and i think maybe David Haye knows this, and that is why he is going to go all out for the knockout. The other reason being that he knows he wont get the decision is Germany if the fight goes the distance. Haye is playing a very dangerous game, could he be the first man to knock Valuev out? Well, this is heavyweight boxing, anything can happen, but i think the chances are slim.
My prediction for this fight is: David Haye comes out strong, trading with Valuev for the first 4 - 5 rounds. Valuev gets rocked but does not go down. Valuev uses his weight to lean on David Haye through the next few rounds, landing his own punches on Hayes suspect head and chin. By around the 9th - 10th David Haye is all out of steam, Valuev knocks Haye out through Haye's sheer exhaustion. Either that or Haye's corner refuse to let Haye come out for the end part of the fight.
I would love David Haye to win by KO to be honest. But i can't let my heart rule my head. If David Haye, from the start of the fight goes for the knockout, he will lose this fight by either KO, or just being so tired he's falling all over the place and the referee stops the fight.
Just to let you know, the fight starts at about 9pm, or just after 9pm UK time. I beleive coverage starts at 8pm though. Don't miss it!
**Quick Update**
David Haye's camp are not happy. The mind games have started. Valuev's promoter has put the Haye camp in a hotel too far out of town, far away from anything, shops, people etc. David Haye was not happy about this and Adam Booth (Haye's trainer) had to find them another Hotel.

Carl Froch Vs Andre Dirrell
Carl Froch Vs Andre Dirrell
This much awaited fight is almost with us. Carl Froch Vs Andre Dirrell is quite an unpredictable fight to predict. Carl Froch is strong, good power puncher, and can take a good shot. On the other hand, he is pretty slow and sluggish with his footwork and movement, something that slick boxer Andre Dirrell thinks he can capitalize on. And so do i, at least for the first 6 rounds. But when Dirrell slows down i think Carl Froch will most probably knock him out.
It really all depends on how Froch handles the sharp boxing skills of Dirrell because as we all know, Carl Froch was losing the fight with Jermain Taylor by quite a few rounds before he knocked Taylor out. Froch was lucky that Taylors stamina was lacking for going the distance of a 12 round fight. Basically Carl Froch got schooled in terms of boxing skills by Taylor. Froch was very lucky to win that fight So, will Dirrell be able to use his boxing skills and ring craft for 12 rounds..If he can he wins, simple as that.
Andre Dirrell has been rocked a few times with punchers that hit nowhere near as hard as Carl Froch. Also Dirrells level of opposition is not in the same class of Froch's. And there is an experience factor with Dirrell also, not to mention he is fighting in Carl Froch's home town of Nottingham, UK. Everything is against Dirrell in this fight, the only positive he has is he decent boxing skills and good movement.
But with all the negative factors in mind, i think Dirrell will be seeing stars at some point in the fight. He will lose by KO, because he can't run all night, so at some point he will have to stand and fight. This means getting caught with some big punches from Froch, then i think it's all over.
Let me know what you think..

**Quick Super Six Update**
Arthur Abraham Knocks out Jermain Taylor in the 12 Round!. Abraham was ahead anyway and was landing some hard shots in every round. But in the 12th he threw a wide hook, then a straight down the middle that connected flush in the face of Taylor and made him hit the canvas like a sack of spuds! Abraham fought a great fight, he covered up when he needed to, and he unloaded when the times were right.
Mikkel Kessler was ringside, he looked shocked at what he had seen. It looked like he was thinking "Do i really have to fight this guy"!!
Carl Froch Retains his WBC Title against Andre Dirrell. This was a terrible fight, very boring. Carl looked amatuerish, and was basically running after Dirrell all night. Dirrell just ran all night. It was a very close fight which Dirrell could of won if he didn't just run and run all night long.. The judges obviously gave it to Carl Froch because he was coming forward all night trying to make a fight of it. Very close fight, which, in my opinion Carl Froch was lucky to win. He was lucky the fight was at home to be honest.
But it's onwards and upwards. Froch will fight Kessler next, which should be a fight with much more action then this one. Andre Dirrell takes on Arthur Abraham.

Prize Fighter: Audley Harrison Vs Danny Williams
Prize Fighter: Audley Harrison Vs Danny Williams
The Prize Fighter competition is on tonight, and most of the talk is about the chances of the much anticipated grudge match between Audley Harrison and Danny Williams taking place. Will they meet up in the final? We will have to wait and see. Their chances are pretty good though as there is not many boxers in Prize Fighter that have fought at a consistently high level.
Audley Harrison and Danny Williams are 1 win each with each other, so if they meet up it would be the final showdown. Let's hope they are in good shape and put on a good fight, that's IF they meet in the final.
Who Wins?
Well, that really is any ones guess. Audley Harrison has not looked good lately, losing i think four of his last 8 fights. But when he is on form and mentally prepared(very rare), he can produce a decent domestic level performance.
Danny Williams has serious problems with self belief and confidence. If he turns up believing himself and remains focused on the job in hand, he has the ability to beat most heavyweights on the world scene. Sadly he doesn't turn up when it's really really needed. This is what makes this fight so exciting. Which Danny Williams will turn up...Personally i hope the focused, unfazed one. We will see tonight. May the best man win.

Floyd Mayweather Dominates Juan Manuel Marquez
Floyd Mayweather Dominates Juan Manuel Marquez
Floyd Mayweather Dominates Juan Manuel Marquez to make a spectacular comeback. With Floyd being out of the ring for almost 2 years, his comeback fight was even more impressive. Credit where credit is due, Floyd won every round against Marquez and looked very fast and sharp in the process. He even knocked Marquez down in the second round, and looked like he could have stepped up the pace numerous times to end the fight.
Going on how close the fights between Pacman and Marquez were, Pacmans in trouble if he fights Mayweather. Saying that, i think Pacman has something that Marquez doesn't.............FREDDY ROACH! Roach is one of the best trainers in the world, and the best trainer in terms of tactics to use in order to win fights. If anyone could make the game plan for Pacman to beat Mayweather it is Freddy Roach.
I think Floyd Mayweather Vs Juan Manuel Marquez confirms that Floyd is the P4P Number One fighter in the world. Floyds skills are superior to anyone else's, even Pacmans. Floyds accuracy, sharpness, and footwork would be too much for Pacman i think..Let's hope Freddy Roach can work his magic! I would love Pacman to beat Mayweather.
Many people hate Mayweather because he's so cocky, and i can see what they mean, but hey, he backs it up every time. Talks the talk and walks the walk. Superb domination by Floyd Mayweather Jr. I would love to see him fight Cotto or Mosley, there more his size and weight.

Floyd Mayweather Jr Vs Juan Manuel Marquez
Floyd Mayweather Jr Vs Juan Manuel Marquez
First of all let's get one thing clear. Is this a miss match? No it's not. The fight that everyone wants to see is Floyd Mayweather Vs Manny Pacquiao, do we see that fight as a miss match? No we don't. So let's not forget how close the two fights were between Marquez and Pacquiao. Where, in my opinion Marquez won the second fight. The only thing that separates Floyd Mayweather from both Marquez and Pacquiao other then his superior boxing and defense skill is that he is the naturally bigger guy.
Personally, i think Mayweather Jr should be fighting Shane Mosley, but that's another story all together.
Floyd Mayweather Jr Vs Juan Manuel Marquez - Who wins?
Well, i think Floyd will win the fight. But i wouldn't be that surprised if Marquez pulled out a win. Juan Manuel Marquez is one of the best fighters in the world, no doubt about it. He beat Pacman fair and square in the second fight, so that's how good he is. Marquez is underrated. He has great boxing skills and the true Mexican fighting spirit. He has the heart of a lion and i would love him to pull of a major upset and beat Floyd Maywether. That would truly seal Marquez's amazing boxing career.
I see Mayweather being a bit too fast for Marquez. And i know that Mayweather is going to be using the straight right hand down the pipe to try and knock out Marquez, or at least knock him down. I think it should be a very good fight, but i hope Marquez pulls off an upset. He deserves the win. Points win for Floyd though is the most likely outcome.

David Haye Gets The OK To Fight Nikolay Valuev
David Haye Gets The OK To Fight Valuev
David Haye's WBA title fight with Nikolay Valuev will take place on November 7th. The fight was hanging in the balance because of John Ruiz. He was the mandatory challenger for Nikolay Valuev, but after a lot of talking an aggreement has been made with Ruiz and his camp to step aside. It must of been an attractive amount of money, or a written agreement for Ruiz to get a title fight in the near future.
David Haye has been a let down recently with his fights against Vitali Klitschko and Wladimir being called of. So at least this fight is going to happen, even if it isn't the most exiting fight of the decade.
I do think that Valuev will not be that easy to beat, he is a huge guy that is very hard to catch cleanly, and that can cause problems. David Haye doesn't have the best stamina, and with the amount of movement and footwork involved with fighting someone so big and heavy as Valuev, it can tire you out very quickly. Lets see if David Haye uses the right tactics for this type of fight.

How do you get rid of love handles?
Quick Tips: How do you get rid of love handles?
So many people have excess weight around their waist, im talking about the waist sides today, not the front. This is also known as the love handles. Many people try and try to shift this weight with no luck. This is because it's in an awkward place on the body, which doesn't get much direct, targeted exercise.
There are a few methods that definately help shift this weight, a very easy one being waist twisting, this is done by just standing up striaght, keeping your feet still and in the same position, then using your upper body to twist your waist from side to side so that your sides are getting a targeted workout.
Another similar method can be done by standing straight and tilting from side to side( as if slipping punches from side to side) , like the Mike Tyson style of boxing. Once you get used to doing these movements, start making it harder by doing them wearing a Weighted Vest
Obviously, if you train hard enough you will not have any excess waist fat,and you won't have to do these exercises. But many people won't train as hard as is needed every day so these exercises are really for those people who just want to target a specific part of the body, in this case the sides (love handles).

Junior Witter Quits On His Stool Against Devon Alexander
Junior Witter Quits On His Stool Against Devon Alexander
I must say, i was shocked at the performance of Junior Witter in his title fight with Devon Alexander. Junior Witter basically quit on his stool after the 8th round. He said he just didn't turn up and also hurt his elbow in the fourth round, but to not go on hardly shows fighting spirit and determination, this fight was for the title! To quit like that makes me thinks he is finished and should quit boxing.
Witter looked terrible in every round, throwing wide punches that Devon could see coming a mile away. Getting caught with shots that usually he would not get caught with, let's not forget, he is 35 years old so has not got long left if he decides to fight on.
I know he was fighting away from home and this can effect a fighter if he lets it, but he needed to give this fight everything he had, he has the talent to have won on Saturday night, he just didn't turn up.
After the fight was called off The crowd were shouting Witter the quitter, and rightly so, you can't quit like he did and not expect a reaction from the crowd. Devon Alexander looked good, he fought a great fight and could be on the radar of Amir Khan in the near future. This was a fight that Junior Witter was chasing but that looks to be well off the cards now.

David Haye Will Fight Nikolay Valuev November 7th!
The Vitali Klitschko Vs David Haye fight is off!!!! How many times will this happen..This is a disgrace.
David Haye is now fighting Nikolay Valuev on November 7th! Tickets should be available within a week or two from ticketnetwork.
People are saying he has finally woke up and smelt the coffee, and has possibly realised how big of a task it is taking on the Klitschko brothers, particularly Vitali. Basically people are saying Haye has bottled it!
So now the latest turn of events is this Valuev fight.
Nikolay Valuev is massive in comparison to Haye, as he is with everyone! He weighs 23 stone! This is not going to be a walk in the park for Haye, he will need to use good boxing skills, fast footwork and fast hands to win this fight. Nikolay does have decent boxing skills for such a freak show size of a guy, and he can punch a bit. If he catches David Haye's suspect chin clean with those tree trunk arms Hayes going over.
David Haye can win this fight, if he does he will be the new WBA heavyweight champion.
I don't want to write too much about this fight incase it gets cancelled again! Don't hold your breath.

Amir Khan Dominates Kotelnik To Claim World Title
Amir Khan is the new WBA World Champion!
After a well deserved, hard fought points decision Khan was crowned champ.
This was a very mature performance from Khan, the best yet. And also a well thought out game plan by Freddy Roach. Khan's speed and footwork was too much for Kotelnik to deal with, once Khan hit Kotelnik he was mostly out of distance for any counter punches from Kotelnik. Saying that, Kotelnik did have moments in the fight where he caught Khan with some good shots but Khan was able to handle them well and come back instantly with punches of his own.
Kotelnik looked frustrated with the speed of Khan, and out of his comfort zone from the beginning, he knew he couldn't start slow, so he started pretty quick for what he usually does, but Khan was too fast on his feet, punching and moving. Kotelnik just didn't have the answer. It was a great win for Khan, one that he should get full credit for, he fought a great fight.
Khan showed what he can do when he puts his mind to it. He has matured as a fighter and a person. He really has learnt a lot since joining forces with the Roach camp, and sparring with the pacman has been a blessing for Khan. I can only see him winning if he stays as focused as he is now, and providing he follows Freddy Roaches game plans. It's onwards and upwards for Khan. It does look like the Prescott loss has really made him re-dedicate himself fully to the game.

A Great Bill For The Khan Vs Kotelnik Fight
Just a quick post regarding the Khan - Kotelnik undercard.
Khan Wins WBA Title - Read more..
This is such an exciting card, but one fight that, for me, really stands out is Anthony Small Vs Matthew Hall. These two boxers couldn't be more different. Hall is not a talker, he has very little to say. And Small is just talk talk talk!! He is like a mini council estate ALI wannabe! There has been a lot of friction in the press conferences between these two. This fight could well be the best of the night. Matthew Hall has good power and has adopted the "Mike Tyson" style, while Anthony Small is a "jab keep it at range", use the ring type of fighter.
This should be a very interesting and explosive fight. I want Hall to win, and i think he will, but wouldn't be surprised if Anthony Small was able to use his boxing skills effectively enough to keep his distance and get the win.
Another fight that should be good is Enzo Maccarinelli Vs Denis Lebedev. This is a make or break fight for big mac. After being knocked out in his last fight against Ola Afolabi, who is seen by most as a good journey man at the most. Big mac really needs to prove he can mix with the best and win this fight against Lebedev, and win it in style. Where does he go if he loses? Right to the bottom i think. Enzo is lucky to have Frank Warren as his promoter because without him he would no way of got this fight. Also being a cruiser weight, it's quite a dead division at the moment, with not many top fighters. Denis Lebedev is said to be quite a good fighter with an impressive fight and KO record.
I really hope Enzo can get his boxing career back on track. He has changed trainers from Enzo Calzaghe to Karl Ince, so let's see if this change can bring out a new and improved big mac.
I have to say, it's been well talked about recently that in the Enzo training camp for the Ola Afolabi fight there was no sparring!!! I cannot believe Enzo Calzaghe would think this is OK. Sparring is one of the most important aspects of boxing training. I think that shows that either, Enzo Calzaghe is not as experienced as a trainer as people think, or he is possibly losing his marbles...Perhaps he doesn't care too much about the fighters now that his son Joe Clazaghe has retired. Because i bet for Joe he made sure all preparations were spot on.
Whatever the reason i think Enzo Maccarinelli done the right thing in changing trainers. No sparring - That is a joke. It's actually beyond a joke. No wonder Enzo Maccarinelli was knackered after one round against Ola Afolabi.
Anyway, let's hope big mac makes a spectacular comeback!
**Update**
Spectacular comeback! Oh yeah, he done that alright. He got stopped in 3 rounds..I think he should call time on his boxing career. Or stick to domestic level maybe..He just hasn't got what it takes for world level. Shame though because Enzo is a good guy. But good guy or not, you have to have the skill level and punch resistance, defense, etc etc, and im sorry to say that he hasn't got it. Read more about the loss

David Haye Will Fight Vitali Klitschko In September
The fight is off!! Read More
David Haye will get his chance to fight for a world title, not against Wladimir, but against his big brother Vitali. Heavyweight contender Haye is due to fight Vitali Klitschko on September 12th, and will be made official within 2 weeks.
David Haye was meant to fight Wladimir for the WBO and IBF world titles, but pulled out right at the last minute claiming he had injured his back.
Very lucky for Haye, he thought his chances of landing a world title fight were well gone, but after extensive talks with Vitali Klitschko and his camp the fight has been made. Vitali Klitschko holds the best belt, the WBC. So if Haye can win this fight it would be a great achievement.
I would of preferred David Haye to of fought Wladimir, but i guess i wasn't meant to be. Vitali Klitschko is a much thougher guy. One thing in Hayes favor though against Vitali is his age, he has not long come back to boxing after retiring.
Who wins? I think Vitali, even though getting on in years will batter Haye quite easily.
Very interested in peoples opinions. Comment below.

UFC 100 Great Fights
UFC 100
It was a great night of fights to mark the 100th UFC. Touching on a few on them quickly.
Tiago alves Vs George St. Pierre was a great fight which seen GSP retain his title. I was very impressed with everything he done, his take downs were superb, his stand up was superb. Alves just didn't have the answer to GSP's quick thinking, great striking, great take downs, and super technique.
Dan Henderson totally Knocked out Michael Bisping COLD! Henderson looked very strong from the start landing some good punches throughout. Bispings hands looked very weak in comparison, and once Henderson was able to close the distance and land some heavy punches it was all over. Bisping was caught with a huge hook over the top and was out before he hit the floor. Henderson then followed up with a huge punch to the defensless face of Bisping.
Frank Mir Gets Destroyed by Brock Lesnar!!
From the start Brock just man handled Mir, pinning him down on the floor, getting Mir in a very awkward headlock and just punching his face when he had the chance, and also doing a good job of smothering and tiring Mir whilst he was trying to get a better position on the floor. Mir survived the first round but not the second. Again they ended up on the floor and Brock just used his weight and massive frame to pin Mir and just kept punching and punching, catching Mir with some massive punches. Frank Mir was basically getting hit and just trying to hide from the punches, as if he just wanted it to be over, needless to say the referee called an end to the fight. A great win for Brock Lesnar. This guy is so big and strong he really does pose a threat to anyone.

Khan Vs Kotelnik - Who Wins?
Khan Vs Kotelnik - Who Wins?
The fight is almost here, with there being a delay along the way it's added even more excitement to the fight. Some people were saying that maybe Kotelnik had been hurt in sparring ( punched in the mouth ) and needed some time to heal before taking on a good, and much improved fighter - Amir Khan. Other people are saying that Kotelnik looks soft and might have needed more time to get in shape.
Whatever the real reason is we may never know, one thing i do know is that Kotelnik is coming to fight and he will not lay down for no one. Personally i think Kotelnik has been underestimated by many Amir Khan fans. Kotelnik has the skills and fitness to beat Khan.
But to be honest i think Khan will win, he's the more hungry, has greatly improved skills, and has one of the best sparring partners in the world ( Pacman ) and one of the best trainers in the world (Freddy Roach), so if Amir Khan can beat Kotelnik it will be now. I think he is ready for this fight, but the one thing that is a concern is his punch resistance. What happens when he gets hit, and im sure he will at some point. Kotelnik isn't noted as a one punch KO hitter, but he has enough power to wear a fighter down and eventually knock them out. This is no walk in the park fight for either fighter that's for sure. Should be a great fight!
So who wins? Let me know.

Amir Khans Title Fight Against Kotelnik Might Be Off
Amir Khans Title Fight Might Be Off
If boxing fans hadn't had enough bad luck with David Haye getting injured, now Amir Khans title fight hangs in the balance. Andreas Kotelnik has a tooth infection so the fight is going to be postponed at the very least unless Kotelnik gets the problem sorted quickly and says he wants the fight to go ahead as scheduled.
Having a tooth infection can be very painful, depending on how far gone it is, i know, i have had one and there's no way you could go into a world title fight without getting it seen to.
Khans promoter, Frank Warren is now waiting for news from Kotelniks representatives to see what is going to happen. Personally i think a postponement is probably the logical outcome, but there are reports that the fight might not take place at all and Khan will have to find a new opponent.
I don't think it will come to that. But we will have to wait and see.
*Update*
Amir Khan Vs Adreas Kotelnik is happening on July 18th.
Kotelnik has actually been over to London to confirm that he is still eager to get the fight on. He will be having a very minor operation to get his tooth infection sorted, and will be ready to go on July 18th. So at least we will get to see this fight, which in my opinion should be a really good fight.

Wladimir Klitschko Vs David Haye Is Called Off
Wladimir Klitschko Vs David Haye Is Off
Well here's just a quick update regarding the Wladimir Klitschko Vs David Haye fight - Its been called off! due to David Haye injuring himself in training. To say this is a disappointment is an understatement to say the least.
This fight will probably be rescheduled for later this year, that is if Wladimir doesn't just fight someone else. David Haye could end up losing out big time here if Wladimir fights someone else and loses. I do think the fight will take place though because of the contracts that have been signed between the two camps / fighters.
The word coming from the Haye camp is that the injury isn't serious. Some people are questioning whether their even is an injury, saying that he has pulled out because he wasn't up for the fight, personally i don't believe that is the truth, i believe he is injured and is very very angry that the fight has been called off. But there is so much at stake in this fight that no one can really blame the camp for calling the fight off if Haye is genuinely injured. So lets just hope he recovers quickly and the fight gets back on track within a month or two.
Quick update : David Haye is said to have injured his back which is said to have put the fight on a delay of 3 weeks. Question is, will Wladimir want to wait? Or will he just fight someone else..We will find out soon.

Great Fights And Theres More To Come
Great Fights And Theres More To Come
From Carl Froch's unbelievable knockout of Jermain Taylor in the last seconds of the last round of their fight, to Manny Pacquiao's total destruction of Ricky Hatton, Boxing is on fire at the moment with some great fights taking place. And like i said, theres more to come.
Floyd Mayweather Jr has made a comeback to boxing and is taking on Juan Manuel Marquez for his comeback fight, needless to say, this is a huge fight to take for your first fight back, many people, including many boxing experts believe Marquez beat Manny Pacquiao twice. So Floyd is facing a P4P king for sure. I don't think this will be an easy fight for Floyd Mayweather, as good as he is, Marquez is one hell of a fighter. Floyd Mayweather always finds a way to win though, and i think he will win this fight but it wont be easy. If Floyd does win the fight with Marquez he will no doubt be taking on Manny Pacquiao. If Floyd wants to truly be considered as the Pound for pound number 1 in the present time he has to beat Manny Pacquiao.
It must be on Floyd Mayweather Jr's mind that he went the distance and won a controversial decision against Oscar De La Hoya, and also took 10 rounds to beat Ricky Hatton. Where as Manny Pacquiao Beat Oscar easily and beat Hatton even easier. But like the old and very true saying goes..Styles make fights, and Manny Pacquiao Vs Floyd Mayweather is a superb match up. I hope it happens.
Then we go on to the big boys David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko. This fight has really caught the attention of fight fans world wide, mainly because the heavyweight division has been quite boring lately and this fight has injected some excitement back into the heavyweight scene, with David Haye talking trash and wearing t-shirts of him holding the decapitated heads of Wladimir and Vitali.
Also Both David Haye and Wladimir Klitschko are considered to have suspect chins so this makes for an interesting fight. Personally i think Wladimir will jab Hayes head off and David Haye won't be able to get past it, Wladimirs superb jab, height and weight advantage just being too much. I think Haye has jumped up in class, experience and weight too quick and he will lose this fight as a result. I might be wrong, if Haye can effectively use the "Tyson Style", moving his head, slipping punches and getting inside landing bombs he stands a chance. But no one has been able to get past the super jab of Wladimir (except Sanders), but that was earlier in Wlads career.
Prediction - David Haye will be Ko'd within 7 rounds.
Some great fights to come!

Ricky Hatton Vs Manny Pacquiao
Ricky Hatton Vs Manny Pacquiao - Saturday May 2nd
Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao are now in Los Angeles to promote their super fight, and that is what it is, a super fight. This fight has already got a money total of almost $90 Million. Fans where out in their thousands in L.A, with most of them coming to see Manny Pacquiao, as L.A is his second home.
Both fighters are supremely confident that they will be the one that's victorious come fight night, which one this will be is still anyone's guess, but most bookmakers will no doubt have Manny Pacquiao as the favorite. Most people also think Manny will win, but i think he has a much tougher nights work ahead of him then most people think. As mentioned before Ricky Hatton is very strong at his natural weight, which could bring Manny Pacquiao some problems. If Ricky Hatton can apply smart pressure, getting in close without taking too many punches he can win this fight.
If, on the other hand Manny Pacquiao can use his superior hand speed and great "in and out" footwork, keeping Ricky Hatton on the outside, he will win this fight pretty easily. But it's easier said then done to keep Hatton away from you for the whole fight. This is a great fight, both have advantages and disadvantages, in my opinion this is a close fight that i can't wait to see!
There is also a prize on offer for the winning trainer between Freddy Roach and Floyd Mayweather Senior. Whoevers fighter wins will get a prize. There has been some funny rhymes and banter from Floyd Mayweather Senior towards Freddy Roach, with Freddy Roach staying quiet and laughing it off.
all in all, everything about this fight is now heating up. The fight isn't even that far away, just a matter of weeks! Freddy Roach has said this will be a 3 round fight, predicting a quick knockout of Ricky Hatton. Somehow i don't think the fight will be over in 3 rounds for either fighter.

David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko Confirmed For June 2009
David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko Confirmed For June 2009
Location of the fight has not been disclosed yet, but it is definitely in Europe somewhere.
After a long wait the fight is signed, sealed, and confirmed. In David Hayes opinion the reason this fight has took so long to be made official is because the Klitschko brothers are scared of Haye. To be honest i think this could be true in some ways, i don't think there actually scared, but maybe just a little concerned at David Hayes brash talk, power punching, and domination at cruiser weight. I think the Klitschko brothers see Haye as a real threat. And rightly so, David Haye has the tools and mentality to beat them both, although he will need to be at his best to beat Vitali.
Daivd Haye has promised to knock out Wladimir, and Wladimir has said Haye is too loud and has insulted him too much, he said he will shut Hayes mouth with his fists.
There are a few ways David Haye can win this fight. First one is to not allow Wladimir to settle into the fight and steam him from the first bell, pressure him all the way. Wladimir does have problems with this type of fighter.
Daivd Haye could also adopt the "Tyson style" slipping, ducking, and closing the distance, then letting lose some huge hooks and overhand punches.
One thing is for sure, David Haye has to close the distance and get past that huge arm length of Wladimirs, if he can't do that he will not win this fight. Wladimir Klitschko is just too good at jabbing, keeping you at a distance and staying safe.
Needless to say, all Wladimir has to do is his usual style of fighting, safety first. If he does this successfully he's won this fight easily. The only problem for Wladimir is his punch resistance, if he gets caught with a wild punch while playing it safe he will probably be in big trouble.
Personally i think this is a close fight which depends highly on what type of fight tactics both fighters bring on the night. A great fight, not to be missed.

David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko Made Official Next Week
David Haye Vs Wladimir Klitschko Made Official Next Week
David Haye Vs Nikolay Valuev!!
After so much chopping and changing between which one out of the two brothers will fight David Haye, it seems a decision has been made. The fight will be made official next week, all that needs to be done now is the contract to be signed to confirm that it will be Wladimir Klitschko that takes on David Haye.
This is such an exciting fight, on one side you have Wladimir Klitschko, who wins fights, but is not very exciting and hardly a crowd pleaser. He has even has openly admitted that he fights in safety first mode all the time and does not see anything wrong with that. Being knocked out in his past fights has probably made Wladimir very cautious of getting caught.
Then you have David Haye, some young blood, who promises to bring some much needed excitement and action back to the heavyweight division, and also doesn't mind getting into a war. This is very exciting because David Haye has shown in the past that he doesn't take a big punch too well, and now he is against much heavier handed opponents, this will have people on the edge of their seats.
This is such an exciting fight, both fighters have the power and ability to knock each other out. If David Haye wins this fight he will be right up there, at the top of the heavyweight division, after only 3 fights (including Wladimir) at heavyweight. That will be a great achievement.
If Wladimir loses this fight i think he will want an immediate rematch, if not Vitali will fight Haye and possibly beat him, if he does not beat him, David Haye will have all the major heavyweight belts!
Both Klitschko brothers hate David Haye, they think he's too loud and mouthy, not to mention the decapitated head of Wladimir incident, where Vitali wrestled with Haye, and the time when David Haye confronted Wladimir.
